For some reason my sims 4 has developed a issue where if anything pops up in front of the game screen (i.e. a notification from my desktop, or even just the volume control when I turn the volume up or down) then that part of the screen will be all weird and glitchy with multicoloured pixels. I have no mods, no CC, I've cleaned my desktop, I've deleted the localthumbcache a million times. I've even uninstalled the game and reinstalled which took forever because I have every pack. I'm literally completely lost what to do!! Does anyone have any idea?!Stuck on save
I'm on a new save, building a house for my sims. Everything works super great and smooth, but the problem is that when I go to save i get stuck on the saving screen infinitely. I can close the game fine by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and opening the task manager to close sims, but it's just really annoying and hard to make progress. I'm assuming the issue is that when I go to save, something isn't fully loaded in and it freezes the game. I've found that making a few changes in build mode, then waiting for my computer to sleep a little, then going back to save works better but it's still excruciatingly slow to get anything done. I have CC and mods, which to be honest I totally need to clean out (I just don't know how lol) but other people that I found online that are having the same problem, had no CC and no mods so I'm not sure that it's the issue. I only started having this problem after installing the Life or Death expansion pack. I know a lot of other people have been having bugs with the pack but the posts I read from my specific problem were from a couple of years ago. I'm not sure what to try next, please help if u can <31.7KViews0likes4CommentsWould this laptop support the sims 4:
I’ve been looking at the ASUS VivoBook K403FA 14" Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7, 256 GB SSD to replace my current laptop which no longer works with the sims, will this laptop be suitable? I have a few expansions an want to get more in the future but I’m not interested in playing any other games. I’m willing to hear any other suggestions however I don’t want to spend tonnes on a new laptop.Solved1.1KViews0likes6CommentsVery high CPU running Sims 4
Running the latest version of Sims 4, I'm seeing very high CPU, often 100%. It seems that the game is just stealing all the CPU on the PC (and it is a relatively new PC with an i5 12th gen processor, so not a low end machine). I'm not seeing crashes (even though "crashing" was the closest tag I could find for a performance issue), so maybe this is normal for the Sims and it just uses what CPU there is, but no other game comes close to this load. Is this normal? Thanks, Pete1.1KViews1like4CommentsSims 4 crashes when traveling to any lot
I am playing Sims 4 on the Steam Deck, so launching via Steam in desktop mode or Console Mode. It is a steam deck OLED 512gb with all original specs (not moded). Building or CAS only is usually fine and only crashes occasionally, which I would consider to be in the normal range for Sims 4. However, I have recently gotten more into gameplay in Live mode, and it has been crashing every 20-30 minutes. This happens especially when accepting an invite to a different lot, travelling to the magic realm, going to any different lot really. realistically it occurs 1 out of every 2 times I travel to any lot. I have tried deleting my mods (UI Cheats and MC Command Center), playing in windowed mode, using Direct 9, none of which worked. Most advice I see is for Windows and since I am Linux, I do not know how to perform most of the solutions available. Also, not sure if it matters but the issue persists weather in game mode or PC mode. I also went ahead and included the last crash file if that helps at all, but the lastcrash file is not always generated upon crashing so this one is from a few days ago. So I just bought the Cats and Dogs DLC for The Sims 4, included in a bundle with the Outdoor Retreat game pack and the Pet Stuff pack. Before purchasing, my game ran fairly smooth. It would only slow down just after entering a new location, and would always pick up after a few seconds. However, after the purchase, the game has been running very slowly, stuttering and lagging a lot no matter where I am. It is incredibly annoying and makes it hard to play. On top of that, I didn’t really enjoy the pack’s content (specifically C&D, since the game is too laggy to fully get an idea of Outdoor Retreat). Is there any way I could remove the content from my Origin library and my game to get a refund? I run the game on the lowest settings possible, on a laptop if that’s important somehow.Solved839Views0likes3CommentsNeed Advice: Best Cheap Laptop to Play Sims 4
Hello! I am looking for some advice on the best budget friendly laptop can buy that will mainly be used to play The Sims 4 with Mods / Expansion Packs and maybe Minecraft. I am not extremely computer literate and looking for something under $500 that will meet my needs. Any advice is greatly appreciated and any links to options available on like Amazon are welcome as well. Thank you!!!SolvedCant tab out of sims4
Whenever I try to tab out look at Google, or discord, or anything really it just won't let me. Instead the sims 4 window stays on screen. It doesn't matter if the game is frozen or glitching or what, the game can be working just fine and it still does it. I don't want to buy a second monitor just to play a game I bought with my own money, because yes, I got sims 4 when it still cost money.
