The game screen freeze
Hi everyone, I have a problem with my game for some time. I play TheSims3 on Mac. I played Sims3 for 1hour, the game was working perfectly and then my game screen froze. The game in the background was working, because I heard game sounds, when I clicked pause I heard that "pause sound", the cursor was moving, so basically I hear I'm clicking on something but I have no reaction on the screen. It froze in one frame and I have to forcibly close the game because it won't unfreeze. I had some trouble before that, I couldn't open the game at all because it froze at launching screen, but magically the problem disappeared. I'm opening it through EA app. PS. I don't have any modes Thanks !
Sims 3 screen frozen after update in 2025
Hi, I should've made this post last year, but after the recent update for sims 3 I load up my game and everything loads fine, but the screen freezes. This doesn't happen with the other games, and the game still continues to work in the background. I just can't move my mouse and see where it's going or control the game. I'm on windows so I'm not sure if it's my laptop or something else. If someone can help me figure this out, or knows a fix for it please let me know!
Running The Sims 3 on Mac M1 via CrossOver — any tips to make it less buggy?
I’m running The Sims 3 on Mac M1 through CrossOver using the EA App and I’m trying to make the game as stable as possible. I have almost all expansion packs installed, Smooth Patch is working and I’m using NRaas mods like ErrorTrap, Overwatch and MasterController together with Simler90’s core mod. I’ve capped FPS and lowered some graphics settings, but after playing for a while I still get freezes, lag and moments where the simulation slows down or stalls. I know Sims 3 is old and buggy, but I’m hoping there’s a way to improve stability without having to disable packs or give up major features or visuals. I’m wondering if some of these mods overlap or conflict, if using NRaas + Simler90 + Smooth Patch together is too much or if there are specific settings people recommend for long-term saves. Any advice would be really appreciated! 💚Game keeps crashing at certain time in all my saves
I only have nraas and a just installed ui overhaul installed for mods. Deleted all mods, still crashes. This happened before i downloaded the ui overhaul but after i installed nraas. Please help, as i'm scared to start a new save file and have it crash again. It always happens week 1 i believe, Idk its been a while. Tried uninstalling, still didn't do anything. I would literally do anything, going so far as to factory reset my computer just to get this game working again.Sims 3 freezes and crashes at 2:54 AM
Hi! I have been having trouble with sims 3, obviously. When my sim goes to bed, it freezes and crashes around 2:54AM no matter if i close the game or not. It always happens. I have master controller, I've tried resetting the town. I also have traffic, overwatch and errortrap. Someone help? The crash log analyzer says it's cc but i only have 1 and i checked if it's corrupted and it's not. I also have tried using the cpu changer mod thing but that didn't work. I've also cleared the cache and still nothing.
game freezing every single time - macbook air
Hi, i know the game isnt made for macbook, but my game crashes everytime now. i dont even play long, maybe 1 hr or even less. saving takes forever so i dont do it every 30 mins (i cant even get to a saving worthy point lately because it freezes before i plan to). i have no mod and no CC! thinking of deactivating some packs (like pets and world adventures) even though i see no option to do so. i tried every single keyboard shortcut to force save, force menu, force build/buy mode, force quit to trigger saving- NOTHING! my laptop reacts, i can move my mouse and use other apps, the water or trees move and the music keeps playing but no reaction whatsoever. its totally random and not whenever i do a certain thing. i do have to say i play every family in the world because i love to change their households, so i modify a lot of families but thats all i do. like i said, no mods or custom content! please help, i love my files because i feel the city has so much progression... its boring to stick with one fam. any ideas how else to force safe or what to do for smoother experience? i'm really upset at this point. i played since 2012 and spend so much money on packs. my laptop is from 2018 - german keyboard thanksss!!Crashing And Xcpt File
My game today crashed when I was leaving cas. Yesterday I had a similar problem I was in cas and tried leaving it and nothing happened so I clicked leave cas again and nothing happened I basically couldn't click anything. The game didnt freeze it looked like it was still going just that nothing reacted. Now today I tried leaving cas and suddenly the game just crashed without a freeze or anything. It's happening with a new save I started in Bridgeport. I have most NRAAS mods which I know don't cause any problems since I have them since forever and never had problems with the NRAAS mods. I have deleted the cache many and removed mods that I thought might be causing it. I have 6 mods that aren't by NRAAS but I've had them for really long and they never caused problems. The only new mod I downloaded was Enhanced Vampires but the mod works well and the mods by Pudding face are known to be not causing problems. Here is the xcpt file.
sims game stops loading up when 99% ready
so i wanted to play the sims 3 and i load it up, click play on the household then its loading like normal, then when it was almost ready it stayed there for over a hour, i repaired the game and tried again the problem happened again, i removed mods and cc and it happened again and again. i turn my computer off and on to restart this process and I'm stuck with being almost there only to sit there for hours idk what to do I'm upset i really want to play the sims 3 please help!
Added stuff from sims resources sharing thing and now it won’t launch
EDIT UPDATE: I figured it out I just went through and deleted everything in the actual sims 3 files that I downloaded the day that it wouldn’t start and it fixed it so I was playing sim and then I finally figured out how to download other people sims and other things like that from the resources page the trading thing I loaded a couple into my game and I loaded it up it worked so then I was like a ok cool and downloaded a bunch of other sims and accessories ect so I finish with that and then I go to load into the sims 3 and it won’t launch properly like it will act like it’s going to load and gives me a black screen and I waited like a half hour to see if it would load but didn’t so my thought process was maybe I just overloaded the game with installed content from the gallery/exchange thing and I didn’t want to go through and delete every single thing by hand so I deleted the sims 3 thinking it would remove the stuff from my game i redownloaded it I tried to launch it again it didn’t work and all of the stuff I had picked out said it was still downloaded to my game so I tried to delete it from the launch area and I got a little black screen that shows when stuff is deleted but it kept saying sorry this app isn’t responding so I restart my computer thinking it’s just being slow but it still wouldn’t delete stuff when I reloaded into the launch screen just says unresponsive ansi still can’t get the actual game to load and still get a black screen that never loads if you took the time to read this I appreciate it ansi hope someone can help
