Xbox Game Pass + EA Play – Can’t Play Any Game, Asking to Buy Full Version
Hi, I’m having trouble playing any EA Play game through Xbox Game Pass. Every time I try to launch a game, it redirects me to EA Play and asks me to purchase the full version. My EA account is correctly linked to my Xbox account, and my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is active. I’ve already tried restarting the apps, uninstalling and reinstalling EA Play and Xbox, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this before and knows how to fix it? FFS EA, its been hours and you've been so hush about the problems PC players are having with your EA app/Account. Not a single word on whats up with the Ultimate game pass accounts and EA play. Do we not pay $20 a month? Do we not deserve a reasonable answer in a reasonable time (its been HOURS)? How hard is it to post, "oh we have an issue... Blah blah". EA, what kind of compensation can us PC players look expect? I mean you expect us to sit here with no answers for hours on end, and you still expect to get that $20 a month (or we cant play!). Today I bought the Modern Luxe Kit for The Sims 4. It was the only item in my cart, and I only paid the amount for one kit, but the app downloaded 3 kits in total (Modern Luxe, Throwback Fits, and Grunge Revival)! I've got the BF1 from Epic Games and today i saw a discount on a shortcut bundle named as ''Ultimate Shortcut Bundle'' The price of 39.99 was crossed out and 10 Euro was written. I bought it. I thought I bought it for 10 Euros, but on the next screen, EA thanked me for my 39.99 purchase. After that, I contacted two different customer representatives for dispute my extra charge. As a result they did not help me in any way. The EA employee told me that this was a special offer for EA or Steam players, but I saw this discount in the game. As a result, I should not be held responsible for EA's pricing mistake. I have probably saved this company thousands of dollars over the years, but they did not help me with the first problem I encountered. Just purchased the Xbox game pass for PC (says it includes EA play) and when I get redirected to the EA app, it says I don't have EA play. I checked that my account is linked and even log into EA through xbox. I have tried to log in/out multiple times to see if it needed to be resynced but that didn't do anything. Everything is correctly linked. I've tried uninstalling the Ea store app and re-installing. I've tried disconnecting my xbox acc and then reconnecting it. I've tried these steps Close the EA app. Navigate to the Xbox app. Go to settings (click your name in the top left corner) Select "extensions." Disable the extension for the EA App Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app You'll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension." Enable the EA app extension The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game Nothing is working. I have been using the EA Play Pro annual membership since 2023. I did not change my saved card or anything. I can't pay through the EA app or the website. Both give me this error: We were unable to verify your credit or debit card. Please check your payment details and try again. I tried a 2 more credit cards that I use to pay for steam, both gave me the same error. I tried used 3 debit cards, also same error. 6 different cards did not work. The cards are all issued from the same country as my Country/Region in my account (Egypt). There are no other methods of payment available through the app/website. The only option is via Credit Card. And the problem is obviously from EA's end cause the cards are working in different platforms (I tried to verify). I tried seeking help from the online chat, they told me they can't help and left the chat 2 times today. The last one advised I find help here. I got the Sims 2 Legacy Collection, but when I purchased the game the EA app crashed. Upon reopening the app, the game didn’t show as purchased or downloading. Thinking the game wasn’t purchased in the first place, I bought it again. I checked my bank account today and saw I was charged twice. I tried filling out the refund form I was directed to by the EA Help chat box, but it says that I have no games eligible for refund. How do I contact EA about this or go about getting a refund?
