[LS] LE/Reset when trying to do romantic interactions
Play on PC. I purchased Lovestruck and the game updated. I haven’t played since before the update. When I played today, the woohoo and try for baby interaction is there on the sims and bed, but when you click on it the sims glitch and nothing happens. Unable to try for baby. Very disappointed that I can’t play anymore because of it. How am I supposed to continue my legacy family without being able to try for baby? Please fix this bug. Problems with starting The Sims 4
Hi everyone, I tried to start the game but it always displays a window (I'll attach a photo to this post) and The Sims 4 doesn't start. I tried to restart the game or repair it, but nothing has changed. I would like to avoid uninstalling the game to not lose the downloaded expansions, is there another way?
Delay between click
Ever since the Sept update my game has been very glitchy and lagging. When I click on objects and other sims there is a huge delay before the actions actually come up and some of the actions just do not work or when they are almost finished with the action it glitches and they do the tpose and just stand there and it doesn't finish the task. I've updated mods, deleted mods, and tried the game without ANY mods and the problem is the same.
Sims won't interact with objects or each other
All Sims in my game, played or unplayed/other households, will not interact with objects or each other. Things appear in the action queue but the Sims just stand there, start dancing (no music is playing), or even do the animation but not directly near the object??? Like, I see Sims doing the animation of rifling through the thrift store racks and the clothes on the rack move, but they're standing outside the building, not in front of the rack. If my Sim is sitting on the couch and I click 'sleep' on a bed, it shows my Sim as asleep in the lower left corner but they're actually still just sitting there on the couch. Vendors and mixologists also spawn for food stalls and bars but they spawn far away them and just stand there; ordering food or drinks does nothing. This is still happening after resetting Sims, disabling mods/CC, repairing the game, restarting the game and my computer... The only thing I've found to work is swimming in pools and watching TV. Otherwise, Live mode is pretty much unplayable. CAS and Build/Buy work just fine. I only started experiencing this after the 7/23/2024 update (PC: 1.108.289.1030), though I can't say for sure it is the issue. I'm also not sure if these are all separate bugs or part of one big problem but either way I can't play the game normally :(
Grim Reaper event rewards keep resetting
I've now restarted the Grim Reaper event multiple times on my PS5 ... and as much as I enjoy gardening in the Sims, planting lilies and snapdragons over and over again is starting to get a little old. Why this is happening, I have no idea, but every time I save and leave the game, my event progress resets like I haven't done any of the tasks. My physical progress is still there, in that the points still show on the Grim Reaper event UI, I still have the reward items in my inventory, etc., but it's like it doesn't remember how I got there. I've noticed that there's a lot of attention being paid to this issue on PC, and several bug fixes have even been found already. Is anyone working on this from the console end of things?EC:204 when trying to play offline
I, like many others, am running into the "the game license has expired" error when trying to play offline despite owning this game for the better part of 7 years. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps and it reached the point where EA support told me to post here so...here I am.
Problem with loading my save after the update:
I have an issue where, after the recent update, I’m unable to load my main save. The loading screen keeps going endlessly, and the game doesn’t actually load. I’ve tried turning off mods, repairing the game through Origin, and other basic fixes, but nothing has worked. However, when I start a new game, everything loads fine, and I can play without any issues.(I don't have the features of the parcel) UPDATE I can only get into the family and play when I get the toddler out of it!!! what shoud i do? I’d really like to continue playing my old save instead of starting a new game. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution? Any help would be appreciated!Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged.
I have been getting the error message "Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged.If you have Mods installed please remove them and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin" ever since the most recent update. I have no mods or CC downloaded. I have gone through the support help 4 times, which involved "repairing," uninstalling the EA app from my mac, uninstalling the sims 4 from my mac, reinstalling them, etc. My game still will not even load. The advisor recommended posting on the forum for help.Broken Update
Hello, I was wondering what to do about a broken update. It updated all the way until 99% but it will not finish the update. it froze and hasn't been fixed since. I have tried everything. I have tried updating my macbook, rebooting it, and deleting and redownloading the EA app. I tried clearing my cache. Nothing is making it fixed. What can I do? Please help...
