Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Remastered Crashing Shortly After Launching
Need for speed hot pursuit launches with a black screen and after 4-5 seconds it immediately crashes saying: I have the game on Steam for clarification. If needed, my pc specs are i5-12450H / 4060 Mobile GPU / 16GB Ram and the game is installed on a SSD. I've tried; 1-Deleting and redownloading EA play several times (I can't reinstall the full game because Im on mobile data but I tried something else of equivalent) 2-Changed my GPU from hybrid mode to dedicated GPU only 3-Verify game files through steam (multiple times) 4-Launch in compatilibility mode for win 7-8 5-Launch as admin 6-Launch with the disable fullscreen optimizations option in compatibility settings 7-Changing cpu affinity by unchecking the cpu0 box 8-Closed all overlays that could affect the game 9-Disabling all apps on startup section 10-I entered my EA and Steam accounts to a friend's pc and tried from there, I could play the game with no issues but when I tried transferring the game files from his pc to mine after uninstalling the game it did not work. 11-Deleted the config file and some other files that were advised but I don't remember which ones (I replaced them back after testing) This game launched without issue a while ago but now this problem occurs with several other players reporting the same issue lately. Hi all, I've been playing NFS Most Wanted (2012) on PC for a while but my Speed Points won't increase anymore whenever I win a race. I can see the game says I have won more points, but my total does not increase. I have tried the repair option on the EA desktop app, and tried reinstalling the game but these have not worked. I know I have not reached the in game limit of speed points Unfortunately this is stopping me from progressing in the game. Is there any way to fix this? Need for Speed Heat* on the **ASUS TUF FX608JHR** experiencing lag during intro and cinematic videos: --- ## **Bug Report – Need for Speed Heat Issue: Lag/Stutter During Intro and Cinematic Videos on ASUS TUF FX608JHR** **Title:** Severe lag and audio stuttering during intro and cinematic cutscenes on ASUS TUF FX608JHR (RTX 5050) **Game:** Need for Speed Heat **Platform:** PC (Windows 11) **Laptop Model:** ASUS TUF FX608JHR **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 (FX608JHR variant) **RAM:** 16GB DDR5 **Driver Version:** (you can fill in the exact version) **Display Mode:** Fullscreen / Borderless (both tested) **MUX Switch:** Enabled (dGPU mode tested) **HAGS & MPO:** Disabled **NVIDIA Control Panel:** Auto-select and forced dGPU both tested --- ### **Issue Description** The game runs smoothly during gameplay but **lags heavily during the intro video and every cinematic cutscene**. Symptoms include: * Video stutter / frame drops * Audio crackling or cutting out * FPS drops only during cinematics * Gameplay remains smooth and stable The issue appears **only on cutscenes**, not during racing or normal gameplay. --- ### **Reproduction Steps** 1. Launch Need for Speed Heat. 2. Start a new game or trigger any cinematic sequence. 3. Observe the intro video or cutscene. 4. Video becomes choppy and audio stutters. --- ### **Expected Result** Cutscenes should play at normal frame rate with smooth audio. ### **Actual Result** Cutscenes lag severely while gameplay is smooth. --- ### **Troubleshooting Attempts (Already Teste**d) * Updated / downgraded NVIDIA drivers → **No fix** * Disabled MPO & HAGS → **No fix** * Switched between Auto-select GPU and forced RTX 5050 → **Gameplay affected, cutscenes still lag** * Switched MUX to Ultimate (dGPU only) → **No fix** * Adjusted in-game graphics settings → **No effect on videos** * Fullscreen / Borderless modes tested --- ### **Additional Notes** * Issue does not exist on other games with video cutscenes. * Problem seems related to how the game handles video playback on newer GPUs (RTX 50 series) or hardware decoding. * Could be a codec compatibility problem with new drivers or architecture. --- ### **Request** Please investigate codec/video playback compatibility for RTX 50 series laptops, especially ASUS FX608JHR. Hello, I know it will probably never happen but well why not XD I really think they should remaster NFSMW 2005. Like just slap good graphic on there and sell it! They could even make a remaster like mass effect with underground 1-2 Most Wanted and carbon all in one and they would literally make millions and players all around the world will be really happy! That's it for me please don't be mean ahahah i just love those old NFS and none of the new ones grab the feeling i had while playing those! i still fire my gamecube once a year to play MW 2005 all over again. On 10/20/25 there was a aws outage and ever since then the “find session” no longer works for xb players. It will try searching for the first time but will stop soon after and each subsequent time the search is shorter and shorter until it just kicks you back to the online multiplayer menu screen. I have a Huawei mate 20 that i used to play nfs no limits on and i always saved the game to the cloud But when i got my new phone two days ago i tried getting the same save game from the cloud and i connect my same account that i use on my old phone and the save game is not even there there is no prompt to continue on the last save game it just starts a new game. I don't like playing Need for Speed 2015, Heat, and Payback at 30 fps. I have a powerful console, but it's locked to 30 fps, making it impossible to play at 60 fps or higher on last-gen consoles. I don't like this because I have a mobile device, and it's impossible to play at 30 fps; it's a real eyesore. Will there be any updates for these games? Because I don't think I'm the only PlayStation owner who faces this problem. I lost save file from last time so i started a new story mode, after i finished prologue (beginning of the story) i meet tess and bring her back to garage. She is supposed to give me money for a first car but i dont get enough for any of the cars listed. I was searching for fix and never found it so i started again from the beginning, i finished the prologue and it happend again i got 37,800$ and the lowest price for the car is 39,000$.
