AI Defending in 1v1 Gameplay (Online)
It feels like online 1v1 gameplay is against the AI not the player. They removed AI defending in NHL 19, but brought it back in NHL 25, and I think that was a horrible decision cuz when I play online I want to be better than the opponent but with AI being so good it doesnt feel rewarding to play. I think the AI shouldnt hit, poke, bump or take penalties, it takes so much away from the competitive 1v1 gameplay + it rewards players who dont play active defence so that makes the game boring. AI defending has advantages if we talk about for example bumps from behind, you can only bump your opponent with truculence and its horrible for the game cuz players can just circle around in the ozone if they want and you cant do nothing about it (bumps were in the game last time in NHL 24)Time for a language lesson for EA...
ULTIMATE(as in hockey ultimate team) is defined by Webster's dictionary as "the best or most extreme of its kind". Google adds... "the last or most extreme of its kind/to the furthest degree." There is NOTHING ultimate about the teams I have been capable of putting on the ice since season 1. I am not a pay to play gamer, so the fact that I grind all year long only to be told I can't use my best players is infuriating to say the least. It's like building a custom Ferrari and being told you still have to drive the family Corolla. This is unquestionably the worst hockey game EA has ever made. Last year was bad, but this year takes the cake. The only part of this game that is a success is the graphics. Every other department left tons of room for improvement. I can't believe I have wasted any of my time or money(to purchase the game) on this. I want a refund.Physics in this game only apply to me and not my opponent …
you really need to fix issues like sticks going through sticks … but it only happens sometimes … my body being in the way of his follow through on his shot should be enough but no , his stick just goes right through I don’t even understand net battles, you guys really need to have some more clarity on how and when to use it cause it seems like like opponent has it locked down damm near humping me every time I get the puck
please expand on hut seasons for 27
offline player here so enjoy the hut season mode and hope you guys expand on it, first thing i would like to see is more stats for it, checking out other teams before you play them past scores, showing other scores from there games, keeping track on how many times you made the playoffs and won the cup, better rewards and more rewards for accomplishing things inside the mode itself, make it feel more like a real season especially in the playoffs and cup finals injuries for plays longer then a game locked in teams so you cant just add better players during the season fans reacting to scores of the games, stuff like this would make the mode even more fun and more popular with offline people who do not like playing online, and do not have time for franchise and be a pro modes but can play a small season with in a weekend and get rewards for it!XP Line Combos and Goalie Overhaul
Can we please get some line combos for the XP cards? I don’t understand why you would release such great cards without line combos. It makes them pretty useless and nearly impossible to get into our lineups. I know line combos are released just to make money, but come on EA. Give us a little something. Also, don’t ignore goalies. They need some line combos as well. Speaking. of goalies, why are they so horrible? I’m sick of watching some opponents cheesing the same moves and scoring the same goals with ease. Extremely infuriating and completely unrealistic. Time for a massive overhaul.
New season update
With this new 2026 NHL every new season it's been a little bit of a challenge to put together a team so you can play and you take a little bit of hit your overall ranking might go down every season it would take me an hour or two for the first season so far but this new season for 2 days now I've been trying every combination and I can't even come close to putting a team on the ice I'm still 20 million dollars above the salary cap. I think what they figured with this new season Captain chemistry was adding the plus 20 million salary cap boost was going to be enough but there's not even close to any combinations on the line combinations to make it work I had a 94 rated team last season and was 2 million dollars under the salary cap season switch new Captains I have my team overall ready now a 90 and I'm still 20 million above the salary cap and I have no other players to put in so it just really frustrates me getting off of work want to play some hockey and the game I paid for I can't even use because I can't get under the salary cap fix itFix the delete team interface (I accidentally deleted my account)
You need to fix how easy it is to accidentally delete your account/team in hut 26. I was trying to make a new squad for season 5 and accidentally deleted my whole hut account. I had a very good team and had spent a lot god time and money to get it to this point, so pleas if you are not going to fix this at least give me my cards and gut coins back
User Experience Suggestions
Hi All, It's no secret that the UX in HUT is very messy and unappealing to maneuver. I want to make some suggestions to improve HUT as a whole, and that starts with the UI/UX. Splash Page: Starting from entering the mode, you are greeted with a splash page of the current event, with only 1 option - to dismiss. A basic improvement would be to add "Dismiss and Never Show Again" for the current splash page. Secondary to that, I would like an option to press a button and take me to the advanced stats of these new cards. Discover Tab: The discover tab is currently used to show non-interactive banners of new content. My suggestion is to change the entire thing to make it similar to viewing a collection. Have the banners, but let the player items be able to be highlighted and, and viewed in advanced stats. Showing a new Crosby card is great, having to go to My Team - Collections - NHL - Pittsburgh - is not streamlined at all. In my vision for the mode, the new banners are sorted up and down, instead of left to right. Old ones are removed after 7 days, but everything will still be viewable in a collection tab (separate from My Team, integrated with the HUT Store). By integrating the collection with the HUT Store, users will have the ability to buy any non-set card, released from a previous HUT Season, as BND. These cards should be expensive, and fixed price. Another part of my vision for the mode is a Weekly Featured Player, selected at random, that can be earnable BND via objectives. Example, Timer 23:59:59, Featured card: 86 OVR Icons Sakic in a screen similar to the Captain side bar in My Team. BND Price, 140k. Underneath the card are 4 objectives that when completed, add a discount for the card. Simply using objectives that relate to that card: Complete 5 games with any Avalance Player, Score 5 snap shot goals, Complete 5 games with any Icons Player, and the final objective tied to HUT Moments- Complete the Sakic Moment. Integration is important. To avoid a long post no one will read, I will be adding to this post in the comments for specific modes, tabs, sub screens and sets. Feel free to drop other suggestions. Seriously, the idea of Hut itself is great and could be a lot of fun, but if you like to play real hockey and not some battle of the try-hard, shot spamming, cross checking nightmares you face pretty much from the word go in this game, then it’s probably not for you!! Or me!! I can’t stand the fact that every player from Jack Hughes on up can lay any player out at any time if they want and there’s nothing you can do about it if you don’t play that way! So basically I’m playing to make it to the blue line and getting trucked all game with a SOG ratio of 22-2 or something like that! And don’t get me started on the glitch goals, this is the most frustrating thing I have ever faced playing a sports game on my PS. Seriously, there’s nothing EA can do to stop the exploitation of their own game and stop this glitch goal nonsense?? It’s to the point this game isn’t even fun to play anymore if you don’t basically “cheat” or we will call it “exploit” the games weaknesses and spam them all game long that your goalie, who is a 97 OVR, can’t stop them. Even if he’s in perfect position, nope, it’s going in!! That’s crap and it’s ruined this game and made it intolerablei to play! When I’m putting 25 SOG and none go in cause their goalie seems to be a brick wall and they are scoring 5 goals with 10 SOG, something isn’t right, and it’s infuriating to be honest!! And I DO mean INFURIATING!!! Even at silver I’m playing teams much higher ranked than me, who I honestly could hang with if it weren’t for the glitch goal, truculent spamming all game long!! Why can’t they do something to prevent the goals and make it to where your player can’t just lay people out if he’s not meant to be that guy on the ice in real life!! Let’s face it, Sidney Crosby isn’t out there every night smashing people in the mouth and scoring goals, it’s one or the other!! So if your a fan of playing real hockey don’t even bother cause all you’re gonna do is get beat and frustrated beyond belief and wanna smash your tv cause that’s how I feel every time I pick up the controller and think eh, maybe tonight will be different!! Nope, wrong, it’s never different!! And on the rare occasions I do get to play a normal hockey fan and we have the same play style to some degree, I end up having a blast and win or lose I congratulate them on a great game and I log off feeling satisfied and appreciative of the great sport of hockey, not seeing red and wanting to smash my console and never wanting to play such an unfair, unplayable, sweaty game of tryhard goofballs ever again!! Anyone else feel like I do?? lol or is it just me!?
89+ choice pack
I received an 88 in the 89+choice pack. Ea help was non existent and argued since at least one was 89 + the pack was fulfilled. Even though im pretty sure it states "Choose 1 of 4 89+ cards" No resolution offered just told to post on forums. Yes not the biggest deal but kind of stupid that I only got 3 options really instead of the 4 the pack states.My progress in HUT was deleted
My progress in HUT mode NHL 26 was deleted for some unknown reason. Everything was fine; after the game, I exited to the main menu. After a short pause, I tried to re-enter Hut mode, but the game prompted me to create a new team. Has anyone else encountered this? I contacted support and received different responses from different managers, but no one has resolved my issue.
