Never Coming Back
I'm an older gamer of 58. I've been playing EA NHL since the first game on Sega Genesis. I almost didn't buy 26 because of 25. Every year, I religiously bought your game. Well, you succeeded. You broke my spirit. I already paid my $90 USD. So I will play this year out. But I will never again buy your game. I had twenty 82's saved up for Fantasy cards thinking, we will be able to get a free one, and hopefully that could get me another. Seeing how crazy the moments were, I realized, I can't get even the "free" one. There's no way I can complete those crazy, nuts, bonkers last four moments. Even earning the 12 collectibles from objectives, I'd still have come up with another four collectibles. That means another four 82's to get 24 total. Then.... twenty 81 overalls on top of that. And that's for a random, I can't pick, possible crap fantasy card. A player i probably don't want or like. That's bound on top of it all. I'm done. You just killed the game. Born out of your greed. Reap what you sow. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that's the last straw. Buh bye
TOTY is Ridiculous
Last 5 years of playing HUT I've been able to make a minimum of 3 TOTY players for my team. Even saving cards from day one of playing the game to use towards sets. Not this year. The rewards this year are just horrible. Not enough reward for the amount of time you have to play. I am also a no money spent player. I'm not buying packs from the store. The fact that EA hasn't deemed it necessary to raise the reward amount of packs or cards we get for playing or packs from Chase giving higher than an 83 since day one is just stupid. You realize we are already at 90 ovr players and it takes 87 players to complete msrp players but guess what. The only 87 players I have are the ones I've made. Why you ask. Simply put the rewards are a joke this year. For me every lets say chance at a 82+ ovr player 9 out of 10 times gives me no higher than a 84. Always 2 higher than whatever is offered. Forget about the 80 or 85. Usually it's 80. Either I have the crappiest luck this year or everything I've read is right and I'm not the only one. I've now said twice I was going to stop playing. Once at Thanksgiving and the other was just before Christmas. Well now seeing how much it is to get a TOTY player and I mean a single player I'm done. I don't have the resources to make one comfortably without dismantling my entire team. Like literally my TOTY player and setting the rest of my team no higher than an 84-85 if I'm lucky. You get 8 collectibles for moments and week rewards for playing. That leaves 26 more needed for McDavid. 26. Seeing how an 89 and 90 together make only 5 I can't afford to do that more than once. You no what. Forget it. Not even worth the rant anymore. Thanks EA for nothing. Thanks for ruining HUT with your Cap, crappy rewards and worst mode ever in Cup Chase. I'm not playing anymore. I'm not buying this game anymore. It's steadily gotten worse every year by store greed. The ridiculous prices for packs this year is an all time high. A slap in your player bases face. So all you players out there with deep pockets who are okay spending hundreds of dollars on packs have fun. Me? Some players were able to claim an 89BND player choice pack earlier today. It was quickly removed and replaced with an 86BND player choice pack. I was at work and unable to get the opportunity to claim the free 89BND card. Can we have the 89BND choice pack added back to the store considering its a BND, that way its fair for everyone?Manipulated Packs
All you’ve shown with this fantasy fumble is that you’re capable of giving out fair odds but you manipulate them during the event. How can any customer trust “greater chance” when there were 40 fantasy cards on the market during the event, but when you remove the manipulated percentages after it ended they start showing up into the high 200s? This is clear cut evidence of you guys restricting odds for pulling players while saying we had a greater chance. Forgive me, I only wish this company didn’t make scum decisions on a weekly basis.
Any update on an upcoming patch?
Clappy told us ~37 days ago on Twitter/X that EA would be looking into our concerns regarding gameplay. Then, with HUT Champs rewards, were told that EA has to reward them manually for a few weeks. I assume they'll need to patch in the fix. So are we going to go 6 or 7 weeks from launch until our first true gameplay patch? The life cycle of this game is 6-7 months in a good year. We can't be wasting 20% of the cycle waiting for a patch that's supposed to make gameplay even halfway decent.
Fantasy Cards
I think the community deserves an explanation about the recent Fantasy pack issue. During the Fantasy event, the packs had extremely low pull rates for Fantasy cards — players spent coins and real money trying to get them — only for those same cards to suddenly become pullable at 20%+ rates for several hours after the event ended. This mistake completely undermines everyone who supported the event legitimately. It flooded the market with Fantasy cards, tanked their value, and gave a small portion of the player base tradeable items worth potentially millions of coins. That’s not just unfair — it’s thrown the entire in-game economy out of balance. What’s most disappointing is the lack of communication. EA hasn’t said a word about what happened, even though the impact is obvious to anyone trading or playing HUT right now. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring one of this scale feels like a backhand to the players who invest time and money in this mode. Please provide clarity on what went wrong and whether there will be any steps taken to correct or compensate for the imbalance. Transparency and fairness would go a long way here.
The fantasy fail of the century
EA tread carefully here , you really screwed people over with this (still in packs now easy to pull) mistake . At a minimum you need to give out a bnd choice pack where everyone can at least get the player they wanted but could never possibly afford . It may not fix the heat completely but if less than that is done this mode is over for many
Unattainable cards (not Fantasy related)

Everyone has certain favorite players and the joy when EA releases such cards is great ... but when you see that it's absolutely impossible to get them, it's just frustrating. I'm talking about Ranked and Champs Cards Roberts, Holik, Campbell, Green, Zidlicky, Zetterberg, Oates, Kronwall and Daze All players that are not available for the offline community. Fun Fact the offline community is massively older than the online community. At a certain age, you can't and don't want to keep up with the young people. So those who know the ALUMNI players mentioned above, fans of whom were players ... they are not allowed to play with them. How many of the under-20 online players know these alumni? Why are these online rewards not tradeable? Onliners would profit from this (sell, more coins) and offliners could buy their favoritesGet rid of salary cap

I have been playing HUT as my main mode for the last 4 years. This is genuinely the first time where I've seen a weekly release and thought yeah I cannot possibly do this. The price for the TOTY cards that were just released are insane. And there is no way to earn one comfortably. TOTY is arguably the best event of the entire year but the wind gets taken out of everyone's sails when they see the ginormous price of each card. I understand that they are the best cards in the game but I remember a few years ago being able to make 3 of them on release day and then being able to grind and make another before the weekly refresh. I don't even see a path to grind for one single card. I'm insanely disappointed in this year's content management and I fail to see how the message hasn't been delivered yet that the path the team is taking is not the right one for player retention.Packs Description
Is it possible to get a pack description for the packs in the XP, Cup Chase and Ranked sets for Season 2, I'm not just gonna throw 30 to 40 collectibles into sets for random rewards. And why you can get 200 collectibles in Ranked Milestones Objectives and only 100 in Cup Chase, would be nice to get the same amount possible for offline players. And even those numbers are not much for 55 days, some players gonna be done with this in 2 to 3 weeks and back to no rewards beside the mediocre XP path rewards.
The Cup Chase logo at center ice is ruining the arena.
EA_Aljo HUT community has been asking for the center ice logo in offline game modes for years. EA is marketing that this is the year we listen to our community, so prove it now and replace it with the default arena logo (team logo). So for example: If I use Toronto Maple Leafs arena, I have Maple Leafs logo in centre ice. This would be a huge visual improvement and really easy to implement.Customer fraud year after year?

This has become the worst NHL game in history. No rewards, coin rewards down, Chase the Cup is garbage, Salary Cap is the worst addition EVER!! HUT Moments are trash once you get to Pro the AI can't do no wrong and All-Star/Superstar should NEVER be tier to get rewards. Madden has at least guarantees in packs the percentage in HUT packs are absolutely atrocious! The season rewards are garbage. You still can't figure out people want more coin to from quick selling to wheel and deal on the auction blocks. ALL PLAYERS should be quick sell no matter if they are BND, UT or Tradeable, not talking about a few coins like 10,000 for 85s and above. Get with Madden guys and fix your game. It’s been a month. I’m still not impressed. This years rewards are so bad it makes the game just not worth playing. The game play itself so bad that the calmest player’s blood pressure sure to shoot out the arena roof. The AI of your teammates is just bad. Positioning? What’s that. Cover the opposing player in front of your net? Nope. Just skates away from the play. That’s if he doesn’t just stand there watching it instead. Or my personal favorite. Your defenseman is skating out of the zone for a breakaway pass. Is playing the game worth the rewards you get? Nope. Cup Chase is just a joke. 22 games for like 7 crappy cards. Wow. So mind numbingly boring to play. It’s not just the low coins for objectives or the games you play. How about those reward packs. So full of cards that you could create any event card with plenty to spare for the next event. Oh sorry must be the concussion from banging my head on the wall talking. We’re getting less than half of last year and having to play almost as many games. It’s ridiculous. How about that gameplay? Your teammates lack of IQ and their inability to cover the front of your net, their horrible positioning on the ice, their inability to make proper line changes. I could go on but why bother. Poke check anyone? No seriously where the hell did that ability go to? The fact that your stick can literally pass right through your opponent’s stick and nothing happens in mind boggling. Or you just swing past the puck and the other team just keeps skating right past you. Your players stopping to receive a pass. Because every amazing nhl player does that. The gameplay sucks. The new salary cap. Who asked for a salary cap? Why do we need one? It’s called Ultimate team people. Means build a team of greats. Greats aren’t as cheap as you EA. Needs to go away. That whole system needs a rework. Ask your community what they think. The blatant way this game is trying to force you to buy packs. In all the years I’ve played I have only spent real money on packs when I have had an extra few bucks on a gift card to spend. This years game the packs are so over priced it’s ridiculous. Most people have a budget in life. Usually that budget is blown when you’ve bought the game. So trying to force us to spend more on imaginary cards is a scam and slap in the face. If people want to spend more money hey go ahead. I don’t judge. But I don’t like that pushed on me either. This game is just bad. I have so much more to say but why bother. Nobody is listening. Certainly not EA. Did they try to fix an embarrassing Fantasy event? Sure? A little bit. But people is it enough? The broken XP path of single card rewards? Overpriced packs. Unbalanced HUT moments. I just learned about what happened with the fantasy cards being incredibly easy to be pulled from packs today and I just feel sick to my stomach. The amount of fumbles this company has had this year already is astonishing. I hope the community outrages, I hope you guys get clowned everyday for it because it's just completely sick. Obviously I didn't know about it so I got nothing while quite literally most players became a millionaire in hut today and it's just insane. If something doesn't happen about this like giving the players who got screwed another fantasy card or something like I don't even know how you fix something so dumb but if nothing happens I'm done like I grind everyday on this god forsaken game it's literally a chore it's not even fun it's literally a chore and I ask myself why I play it and it's because I love hockey and the sport I love is being completely butchered by a company that obviously doesn't give a **bleep**. So I’ve been playing very casual this season. Reasons are just to many to list but overall I’m very disappointed with this game. The constant ring of the post is sooooo annoying. Your AI players not knowing positioning on the ice. D-man out of position or breaking out of your zone like they’re a winger. The horrible rewards. Perfect example. I just hit level 36 of the XP seasonal track. Anyone remember this one? 80 ovr player choice pack…BND. Seriously?!?? Even I who plays casually am well past 80. WTH?!?! What good does an 80 BND player do for my team? Plus I can’t sell him. I can’t use him in my lineup nor can I even use him for a set. This is how out of touch you people are who make the rewards. Forget pack luck, which also is a joke, but your force feeding garbage and telling me it’s lobster and steak. I’ve said more than once rewards need a major rework. I give up. You are so out of touch its unreal. 600 80s........ how could you possibly think this was okay? Guys, I've spent like + 200$ on this game and have 100h playtime already, I should be rolling in it. Instead I'm struggling....... this is so predatory it's gross. What is wrong with you? Somehow some way I'm going to try and report this **bleep**. Idk if it needs to be to an MP, or to a better business bureau...... if any small business did this crap they'd be closed the next day. You make me sick EA.
