SIMCITY 2013 - installation from CD failed
Hey I bought in 2013 the SIMCITY 2013 limited edition and wanted to share this awesome game experience with my kids... so we are trying to install it on a windows 11 PC but we get into troubles when the Origin window pops up asking for us to connect online. Even though I have a valid EA account, it doesn't regonize it... maybe the Origin thing is too old... How can I install the game on the PC without out having to go online ? Anyone running into the same issues ? Let me know, thanks you all !!!SMCY-26 Error
I am having issues with the 2013 SimCity game. I bought it today and the game loads to about ninety percent and then gives the SMCY 26 error code. EA support has not been helpful. I spent hours trying to fix this with no success. I repaired the game in the EA app reinstalled it into a fresh folder outside Program Files checked folder permissions set the EA app to run as administrator confirmed that no antivirus is active deleted leftover files from Documents and Local AppData restarted and updated my PC disabled startup apps and tried running the game in Windows 7 mode. My PC meets all system requirements. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. I do not know what else to try.
Region locked game
Hey, game was gifted to me years ago, physical copy. I tried installing it but can only install it in Polish Hungarian or russian. Support refuses to help, even though I found this post and an older reddit post from over 10 years ago saying EA gave them an English key of the game so they could install the game in English. This lead me to believe support does honor physical purchases of the game. However, I was told that physical copies are not honored, that had the game been purchased from the EA or Origin app, that they would have helped me. I wanted to ask if anyone has dealt with this, has a friend who dealt with this, and how realistic is it to expect EA support people to grant me the same offer. If I shouldn't count on this, let me know, I'll go kick dust and give up on playing this game again then.simcity 4 launched once but never again
I just purchased simcity 4 deluxe edition today and was trying to adjust some screen settings to make it fit my screen better. i closed the game as instructed to make the adjustments take affect and now it will not launch. I have tried to edit the advanced launch settings and none of them help. all it does is when i click play the EA launcher goes away and the icon for SC4 pops on the taskbar then disappears and the launcher comes back.
Random Freezing Simcity complete collection
Ever since the last update. I have been unable to play Simcity. The game has been randomly freezing inconsistently at random spots during the main menu loading phase. It occasionally has gotten past the main menu to freeze during entering blah town. I am currently on single player mode. Video card drivers are up to date I am attaching my dxdiag.txt as well as screenshots of the multiple locations where the game freezes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no luck. I even tried timing how long before each freeze while gathering the screenshots. They are anywhere from 15 seconds to 30 seconds of runtime before the game freezes.Population Index
Hi Team I've playing Simcity for more than 4-5 years. Evey new updates made me statisfied and it is innovative. But you gave an update on index for Education, Transportation, Parks, Landmarks etc. Players for us even though we have enough keys we can't even buy things. So I kindly request team to check on this matter and change this thing.Dummy city building option
Recently I had an idea of how I can improve my city map and get to inc buildings and tax returns but for that I had to assume some of the areas and draw it on paper and calc some of the road coverages. So if there can be an option that lets you build a dummy city where you don't have to worry about sims happiness rather you can focus on services and polution coverages and you can have better ways to improve city with your imagination.Installing Simcity w/ Origin defunct
Can I please get a step-by-step on how my problem with installing Simcity (2013) can be fixed? I own Simcity (2013) on DVD. I am installing Simcity on a new Windows 10 machine Simcity (retail dvd install) requires Origin before copying game files My EA login does not work for the Origin installer Thus, I cannot install Simcity at all. Note, I have not previously played Simcity throughout the entire duration of EA Launcher, and if I have an origin account, I am no longer readily in possession of it. However, I do have a modern EA account, A Simcity DVD and an authentic CD KEY. It seems sensible that with these three things I should be able to play a game I have purchased and possess physically. Please advise on how I might install Simcity so I can get Update 10 for offline play.
SimCity (2013) - ALT+W Not Working
Is anyone else having current issues with the money cheats (ALT+W and CTRL+A:T+W) when playing single player sandbox mode? I can use the cheats to toggle the other stuff (fire, crime, control net, etc) but it no longer lets me use the money cheats to add money. I've tried playing in offline mode on EA, removed all mods, and reinstalled the game. Still doesn't work. This would make clubs more democratic and engaging. —Simpler Club Invitation and Recruitment System:— Introduce a section that shows players who are not currently in any club so that presidents and deputies can invite them directly. Currently, we must search through the global trade list, which is time-consuming and inefficient. —Advanced Club Management Tools:— Allow presidents and deputies to post pinned announcements at the top of the club chat. Add a member activity tracker (such as last login or war participation) to help clubs stay active. Include options for leaders to customize club settings (e.g., language preference, city-level requirements, or war focus). —Improved Communication Features:— Add multi-line chat messages for clearer communication. Allow reactions or emojis in club chat to make it more interactive and friendly. Enable short club-wide notifications or reminders (for war start, donation requests, etc.). You should be able to talk to members privately, so you don't have to put them on the spot in front of others —Club Events and Recognition:— Create new club milestone achievements or rewards for teamwork and longevity. Introduce a Hall of Fame or expanded club leaderboard that recognizes clubs beyond just war rankings — for example, based on donations, event participation, or community engagement.
