Marketplace Download Data stored in hidden folder location
The Maker Pack/Kits purchased after March 2026 downloads are unexpectedly stored in the following hidden directories: Windows: User > [Username] > AppData > Local > TS4 Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [Username] > Library > Application Support > TS4 This has several downsides as you can't move or redirect this folder, they are hidden system folders. The biggest issue with this is being stored solely on the internal drive, you can't put them on an external drive if running low on internal storage. and you also can't redirect it to a bigger internal drive. This can lead to issues when these drives are full. The expectation is Maker Packs are installed in the same location as the game and DLC, as directed in EA App, so the user can make sure they have the installation files in the same location where there is enough space. By default the game installation location is for both base game and The Sims 4 pack folders: Windows: C:\Program Files\EA Games Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > EA Games There is an indication on the GUI that lets you know who much space you have left but that isn't that easy to find and you won't see it if you never go to My Collection > Maker Packs > Manage Storage2.1KViews49likes22CommentsMoola prices

People might be feel better about Moola if they can earn some as rewards in regular game events and as a rare reward from time capsules when we mine for crystals. I know some will see it as further marketing enticement and manipulation, but it might bring more engagement to events and searching the neighborhood for crystals and other collectables.807Views15likes11CommentsKits purchased from Marketplace don't appear on EA app
I am a PC player. I owned The Sims 4 Country Kitchen kit for free on Marketplace. Then, I bought 1500 Moolas to purchase three more kits with a 20% discount: Restoration Workshop kit, Kitchen Clutter kit and Golden Years kit. The last 3 kits I purchased for 400 Moolas each one, so I have 300 Moolas left. Those 4 kits appear on my game, but the don't on my EA account DLCs catalog. What would happen if I delete or lose accidentally my current savefile? Would I lose those 4 kits forever? Please, fix this problem, I really need them to appear on my DLCs catalog.SolvedVLRM964 months agoSeasoned Newcomer1.5KViews11likes64CommentsSofas & Chairs in Maker Packs need better comfort levels than just Comfort: 1.
This is just a bit of feedback in terms of all of the Sofas and Chairs we've been getting in Maker Packs, for whatever reason they all just have a Comfort level of 1 and I feel like some of them should have better comfort levels. I don't know if there is a specific technical reason as to why the Makers all have their Sofa and Chairs set to Comfort: 1 but I would like to see this changed and improved upon in future Maker Pack releases.Anonymous5 months agoNot applicable198Views9likes4CommentsFeedback: Poor Image Quality in Marketplace Interface Elements
I’m making this post to bring the developers’ attention to the image quality of the Marketplace interface elements. At the moment, the quality appears quite poor, with many elements in the store displaying low resolution, while a few others look noticeably sharper. This creates a clear visual inconsistency across the interface I’d like to start with the bar that displays the available amount of Moola. The edges appear very blurry and poorly defined, and the ‘+’ button also looks noticeably low resolution.” The filter buttons also appear noticeably blurry and low resolution, particularly around their edges. This is visible both when the mouse is hovering over them and when it is not. The text below the large pack-type icons also appears blurry, which becomes even more noticeable when hovering the mouse over them. The icon representing the Makers Packs appears in very poor quality on the pack information pages. The resolution looks extremely low. The object thumbnails in the game also appear quite blurry, likely because they are being upscaled. This gives the images a noticeably degraded and unclear appearance. The back button also appears to be in low resolution. The smaller version of the Moola bar shown in other areas of the store also has a noticeably low-resolution appearance. The purchase button also shows low-resolution edges. ----------- Well, this concludes my feedback regarding the Marketplace. My intention in pointing out these issues is simply to help improve the visual quality of the interface and make it more polished and appealing. In my view, the interface shouldn’t contain images and buttons that appear in such low resolution.SimsTime5 months agoSeasoned Ace443Views9likes16CommentsWhat do you want to see on the marketplace?
Now admittingly I do have mixed feelings about the marketplace but I am a console player. And I do not have acess to mods like I do on the PC. So if I see something that I really want I will be getting it. Now I am aware of the restrictions of everything being base game applicable, but all things considered these aren't restricted to their packs and should be fully usable on base game sims. CAS Antennae- this could be under the hat category or the new head decoration category. It should be available for sims infant and up and have diffrent shapes, lengths designs and colors. This would be good for a quirky sim as some sort of headband hidden under hair, and if you have get to work it is PERFECT for alien sims, or really any fantasy sim you want to add Horns and antlers- once again perfect for the head decoration category, you could easily give these to your base game sims to add a bit of spice. Or fancy up the plant sims to make them more nature themed. Or it could be for a kids Halloween costume. They would also go great with the enchanted by nature and get to work pack Tails- maybe your child's a furry maybe theyre a werewolf growing into themselves. Honestly I hate that werewolves are tailess, it looks sad and depressing and EA should have at least GIVEN us the option of a tail. Unique ears- fantasy ears are fun what can I say. Having unique non human ears for diffrent animals or diffrent types of elf ears instead of the pointy ones would be pretty cool. I know the furry sims players out there would appreciate Infant clothing- as the newest life stage infants are still very lacking in some outfits. Id love to see more styles for each category of outfit for the infants as well as new hairs Better lashes- the Sims 4 lashes are very....blocky, there are so many cute maxis match lashes that look adorable while keeping the more cartoons style,id love a little inexpensive set with some diffrent styles and diffrent colors More male hairs- our boys have been neglected in the hair department and there are many gorgeous male cc hairs out there Heterocromia- some sort of scar or skin overlay that allows for your sim to have heterochromia More eye colors- hopefully some of those really beautiful eye cc start coming in, it would be amazing to see on some of these sims Sin overlays- there are some stunning skin overlays that really bring life to a sim and make them so beautiful. It'd be lovely to see Although jewlery- more out there alt jewlery. Cool face piercings, or even stuff like belly piercings would be cool to see More hats- the hats we have in game are kind of lacking. Id love to see more alternative or styled hats that fit diffrent genres of clothing Alt hair- more alternative hair styles like wolfcuts, scene hairs, dyed hairs, funky styles, Mohawk, rocker styles ect. More black hairstlyes- black hairstyles, especially woman's are gorgeous and id love to see more of the amazing unique styles Male clothing- we need better lame clothing my goodness, diffrent styles and genres please we are LACKING BB more pop culture posters- like posters of popular famous sims, in-game shows, maybe alien themed posters or fantasy poster More clutter and decorations for each room, I want the house to feel lived in Uhhhhhhhhh Im not really big on bb ngl So yeah thats my list im curious what others would be willing to buy from the marketplace if it was added. The first few id 100% buy no questions askedSomniaDC5 months agoSeasoned Novice1.5KViews7likes59Comments- 1.1KViews7likes10Comments
Will Maker Pack issues be fixed?
I've noticed that almost all of the Maker Pack bug reports have little to no upvotes at all and this worries me because it seems that only the most upvoted issues are looked into. Since the Marketplace seems to be the new home for most new content, I would have thought that The Sims team would be keen to make sure issues with Maker Packs are resolved in a timely manner. There's issues that have been reported months ago and I think some of the issues are fixes that could be done fairly quickly. There's clocks in Maker Packs that don't show up in the clocks section, there's incorrect thumbnails, there's duplicate swatches, there's weird visual issues on wallpapers, assets incorrectly tagged. Surely these are things that could be sorted out sooner rather than much later? I enjoy getting content from the Marketplace, but I'd also enjoy it more if Marketplace issues were not treated as some kind of after thought.SimulationBuilds1 month agoSeasoned Vanguard93Views6likes4CommentsFree Maker Packs (Ends August 13)

I have a feedback/request to make that I hope the team will consider. Could you remove the 4 weeks window that we have to claim the weekly free stuff? We are MANY playing offline right now waiting for a fix to the roof bug. Still, we don’t know when it will be live, we don’t have a date… and we don’t know if it will fix our old saves as well. I understand that the fix for this bug will be included in the next game update… that may introduce new bugs? Considering the situation, I don’t see myself updating the game and play online anytime soon. So it would be a kind gesture to pause the claim window so we won’t miss out.sylvy_gene2 months agoSeasoned Novice203Views5likes7CommentsRemove the Moola requirement for kits on console
I truly do not understand the reasoning behind this. Maxis wants to claim that the implementation of the Marketplace and Moola is to benefit console players and allow us to have access to Custom Content. But now that the marketplace is implemented I cannot buy kits with money. I have to purchase a pack of moola and use that to buy a kit. This is absolutely ridiculous. Why on Earth are kits being locked behind microtransactions for console players? What is the reason? They are available for PC players as they normally were. There was absolutely no reason for this change. There is no logic behind this decision. It is poorly implemented, poorly thought through, and is honestly a slap in the face to console players. The fact that this is even a thing to begin with is disrespectful and unfair.doctordilemma4 months agoSeasoned Newcomer176Views5likes6CommentsMarketplace Feedback
First off, I really like the idea of the marketplace! I like that kits have been moved into the marketplace and can be purchased with Moola, and are alongside other content from the community of creators! I do hope this means EA/Maxis will focus on making actual Stuff Packs more over creating so many Kits. Feedback: 1 The interface is huge and hard to see even one row of content in the marketplace, please make the interface smaller and more consistent, some elements are enormous others are reasonably sized. My monitor is 2560x1440 and is 27" there is no reason for the interface to be so big. 2 Filters: Add a currency filter to the filter options, so I can select Moola or real money. When selecting "Free" under the Pricing filter, it shows more than just the free content. Add Maxis/EA as an option under the "Makers" filter. 3 On the Get Moola page show the cost per Moola breakdown. Offer more consistent deals as the amount goes up. 500 and 1000 are the same value. 200 is 80/$1.00 500 is 100/$1.00 1000 is 100/$1.00 2600 is 104/$1.00 5500 is 110/$1.00sinc3re1ydan5 months agoSeasoned Novice740Views5likes24CommentsRevenue Split
Hi, The Revenue split is often mentioned in the discussions but everybody tends to forget about the rest of the world. Roblox Marketplace : 30% Steam Workshop : 25% Minecraft Marketplace : 35% Unreal Editor for Fortnite : 40% So TS4 Marketplace with 30% is not surprising, EA follow the rule. The 70/30 split (where the platform keeps 70% and the creator gets 30%) is actually quite common in the world of "User-Generated Content" (UGC) within games, though it is the exact opposite of the standard 30/70 split seen in app stores like Apple or Google.NoahLGP6 months agoSeasoned Ace647Views5likes5CommentsMaker Packs - Please can we get a filter by Creator's name?
Hello 👋 I was wondering if it would be at all possible if we could get the option to filter Maker Packs by a Creator's Name in CAS & B/B in the near future? It would really help us be able to explore all of the Maker Pack items in our games and ideally allow us to limit ourselves in builds/sims where we want to keep the pack usage to a minimum. Thank you 🤗SimulationBuilds6 days agoSeasoned Vanguard49Views4likes1CommentBridgerton Items Not Available for Moola?!
I didn't intend to use the marketplace, but I didn't have the opportunity to purchase the kits I didn't own yet, but wanted, before they got moved to the marketplace. So reluctantly, I bought Moola and bought the kits I wanted. I still have moola left, because of course I do. I assumed that when the Bridgerton items or future kits were released, those would be available to purchase regularly and in the marketplace for moola too, because all the other kits are now, and I'd be able to use it up then. But these are only available for cash. Are they going to be available for moola at some point? EA_SolaireLadyGray014 months agoSeasoned Ace273Views4likes8CommentsMoolah and Makers
Hi Sims Team, With the recent introduction of Moola and the Marketplace, I would like to suggest providing a one-time "thank you" gift of 200 Moola to players who have updated their game. Many of us have invested significantly in the game over the years. A small starting balance would be a great gesture of appreciation and would allow players to experience Creator content firsthand in their own saves. Giving us a chance to see how these items function would likely increase confidence in the new system and encourage future purchases. Thank you for considering!61Views4likes0CommentsY2K Nostalgia Collection (AlexCroft): Backpack missing storage function

Considering the coding for this is Base Game, this appears to be an oversight.SimulationBuilds8 days agoSeasoned Vanguard56Views3likes0Comments
