Stuffit Expander is an app you find on the internet. I did check the App Store and found one free program and others you have to pay money for. I personally use Stuffit Expander which is free and it works fine for both .rar and .zip files.
And yes, Mojave is 10.14 for the current Mac OS. You can find information about your Mac if you click on the Apple Logo in the Upper Left Hand corner of your screen.
