- I would not recommend doing that crazy stuff just to play 1 game if all your other games are working fine.. But in my case all my games were not working properly.. I fixed apex and now the other games work too.. I got the crash to desktop in the first version of apex and repaired it by removing all my visual C++ libraries and installing those required for origin/apex from microsoft website.. These include 2010, 2012, 2013 2017 both in 32 and 64 bit.. Again i do not recommend you do this unless you are sure it's not going to effect your system and dont do it just for 1 game if others work perferctly
You can check if a program uses a distro by running it then trying to uninstall the distro and it will prompt you to close the program you are using.
You could open all the programs that you use everyday and uninstall all distro's that have no prompt.
In the case of games you can just repair the game or verify integrity (Steam) and the required files will be installed.
This should be the safest way to clean up any old Distro's
I've tried that and it didn't fix it. It seemed it did something but after 4 games I started crashing again.
Hmm just to eliminate distro corruption try this:
Navigate to your game file then here:
Origin Games\Apex\__Installer\vc
Delete all the folders then open origin and repair Apex.
Unistall the Distro's and repair the game.
I don't have any distro problems. Why are you insisting on that?
I said in the OP that I read somewhere that uninstalling all of them and doing repair game could fix the crashes but it didn't fix anything.
I reinstalled all the distros as you can see here: https://imgur.com/NmW9zI9
Or do you see from my logs that there are distro problems?
If not then its just a matter of waiting for a fix.
You have a Bad_Module_Info error and its one of the two big issues going.
It affects RTX and AMD cards more so than GTX.
If i remember right a user mentioned something about the GPU being used to 100% causing the crash.
For now you can try keep your drivers up to date using this guide to minimise the issues:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/In-Depth-Trouble-shooting-Guide/m-p/7472105#M165
Under Core windows maintenence.
and this to clean up:
Then Navigate to the location of your hard drives Right click your C: drive and open properties, click disk cleanup and follow the prompts.
and finally this: (its like a repair game for windows)
Spoiler- Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, right click the Windows button, and then select Command Prompt (Admin). If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow or Yes.
- Type the following command, and then press Enter.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Note It might take several minutes for the command operation to be completed.
- Type the following command and press Enter.
sfc /scannow
Note It might take several minutes for the command operation to be completed.
This will pretty much confirm your system is tight and up to date and i see no fault in your system once done.
The only issue you would have after this is code / game error.
It may not fix the issue but i may reduce how frequent you will get the issue.
Its the distro installers that are in the game files.
i wanted to check that they are 100%
Tried everything, including removing the distro files, uninstalling the distros and doing repair game, cleaning disk, repairing windows, updating motherboard drivers.
Still crashes totally randomly, sometimes after three-four games, sometimes on the first game I start.
At this point it's a game code issue for sure.
- Severs are down bro.. I played like two hours ago and had really bad stuttering.. Then I went out came back and got loading screen.. I havent got that error close to desktop any more since the first version of apex legends I'm sure you can work it out🙂
