We should try running through some troubleshooting to see if it helps with the packet loss you've been seeing. The best place to start would be with the basic connectivity troubleshooting steps over at the EA Help website. 

If it keeps happening after that try running through the PC-specific steps as well. Let me know if you're still seeing packet loss after that. Thanks!

Hi Kent,

I have the exact same issue as Levehzor. It happens every other game and stays for the whole game. If I quit the match immediately and join another match there is no issue at all.

Sometimes I play 5-10 matches without any issue and then suddenly I get the random packet loss game again. Also lately since seaons 5/6 it got more frequent and i have at least 3-4 packet loss games per evening if I am playing 10-20 matches.

I have already tried most of the basic connectivity troubleshooting like flushing DNS, restart of router etc. . I also tried port forwarding and changing the data center but all the data centers have 0% packet loss and 10-20 ms ping for me at all time.

Also checked in my router for any general connectivity issues but everything is just fine. I don't have any issues with packet loss in other games as well.

I wanted to try the UOTrace application but for that I guess I need the actual Apex server address(es) to test it?

I am on EU servers.

Hope you can help me with this issue.

Which datacenter are you normally connecting to? Have you had a chance to test any others to see if that makes a difference at all?

thanks for the quick reply.

It usually auto selects "Frankfurt I" as it has the best ping for me. I have tried "Frankfurt II" as my buddy is getting this per default, but didn't change anything.

Havent't tried any other ones yet, cause the ping is "worse" on those, but I will try it today.

Can you give me a server name or IP address that I should test the IOTrace with or do you think this won't help in my case?

So now I have tried playing on Amsterdam Datacenter and the 4th game was a packet loss game again. The Datacenter shows a ping of 23 and 0 packet loss in the menu.

And now that @Amra_gasp is describing his issues in more detail, I realize that I haven't described all the issues that I am facing. When I try to leave such a match or we get killed, I am stuck in "connecting to lobby" as well. Sometimes I reach lobby after maybe 5 minutes or so but mostly I Alt+F4 and get a "Unable to reconnect - reservation timed out" error as well. I confirm it and then I can get back to the lobby. Also the frame by frame feel of the match is identical to what @Amra_gasp described.

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. im 250down, 100up, very stable optic cable internet from Telekom, Germany.

I have never had this problem before Season 6.

I do not believe that this is net issue as I have ran through your troubleshoot program and I will attach the file here with the data from the test.
As soon as I would alt tab mid game and try to go back I will experience this huge packet loss where people skip infront of me for a full meter and its unplayable.
I also cannot leave this game as its stuck on leave game. I wouldn have to alt F4 and come back in the game. Many itimes i get this issue even without alt tabbing.
I reinstalled the game, tried playing through VPN, have no AV or any other software and I am clueless on how to get this resolved.

Thank you for any tip that will lead me and everyone else to a solution.

Unfortunately I don't have the IP address of any of the servers to test the connection directly to them. Have you both checked to make sure the recommended ports for Apex Legends are open on your network? You can find more details about the specific ports over at the EA Help website. I'd recommend giving that a shot if you haven't already.

I have already forwarded those ports but it didn't solve the issue for me.

1 game on 2 on ranked is packet loss, 1 on 2, I've played hours regular games, 1 issue only but ranked, constent. So It is not  something to open or i don't know what. You have a serious issue.

Hello, I also have the same exact problem. Once in a while I get a match with heavy packet loss, completely unplayable, then I get stuck on returning to lobby screen and have to manually quit.

I got in contact with chat support too but we didn't find any solution. I tried everything mentioned in troubleshooting and more, I'm in Italy and got a good connection, every other game works fine, no packet loss at all, ping is good.

Did a trace on other companies servers like overwatch and valorant, 0 packet loss. It happens on every Apex server I tried in Europe.

I think is something server or netcode related on EA part, because I can't find anything wrong here or in my ISP.   

If it can be useful to compare, I am on Windows 10 latest update, bitdefender antivirus.

1080 GTX GPU

16 GB RAM 3600

Thanks everyone for the updates. Have you also tried setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that makes any difference? 

You can change the DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more info on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. If you select Manual you can enter a DNS of your choosing. I often use the public Google DNS (primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4), but if there's a different public DNS you would rather use instead that would be OK as well.

Thanks for your reply, I tried using Windows DNS setting, same results on trace or in-game. Tried google, cloudflare and my ISP DNS.

Also, I never had this problem until season 6 and it is only with this game, so I don't think there is a fix on our end.

I have also tried it with several other DNS servers but unfortunately this hasn't solved my issue.

I will send you my UOTrace results aswell but it is obviously not a EU server so the ping is pretty high. No packet loss though.

I run UOTrace and sent the results in PM, also attached here. Last night was even worse, every game had packet loss, from unplayable to mild. 

Just to add to this thread. I have tried DNS and port forwarding to no avail. Still have this issue.
I tried alt f4 midgame and rejoin, maybe this could help but it did not. 

If its any help, the voice coms are also affected by the issue, i cant hear my teammates, they break in sync with the players jumping and lagging in front of me. 
This has to be some sort of a server you have that usually we end up playing on and we literally lose 50% packets or something.

I want to throw my hat into this conversation as well, not too long ago this was never an issue it seems fairly recently that im getting full game packet loss to "Connecting To Lobby" crash.

I did try to let the game return to lobby a couple of times to see if it was just slow, the first occasion the Game hard crashed with an Engine error (Too many visible objects) and the second time it failed an anti cheat verification stating Excessive packet loss.

I have also ran the UO trace utility with 2-3% package loss.

To reiterate others, it only seems to be this game giving me this issue.

I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps to no avail so I will be keeping an eye on this thread for a fix.

Let me know if there are anything you want me to check.

Yes I also started experiencing this in the last weeks, and I have had also the same errors. When a game affected by packet loss was over, it was stuck on connecting to lobby and if I waited long enough for the game to crash, I got too many visible objects or anticheat verification failed errors.

When a packet loss match ends and I leave it in the state of "Connection to lobby" for a while mostly it ends with this Engine error:

I have had a few games after the aftermarket update and it seems that the packet loss issue has been resolved.

Ill keep monitoring it but as of right now, Good job!

Just want to say that I have been struggling with this issue since approx season 2. It is basically every 10 or something matches that I go into that have this bug. Although some evenings it wouldn't appear at all. 

It is absolutely horrible though, especially when grinding diamond 3 and getting this packet loss lag bug on drop, unplayable. 

I did the port opening etc but nothing has seem to solve it permanently. I was actually optimistic after the latest patch, but it was back today and yesterday again.

Hope we can figure this out. Non of my friends seem to have this problem.

I have tried the alt f4  and swapping server, it does not work. I have been playing some ranked games with 6 different people, 2 of them experiences packet loss. 
This has to be a very large issue that many players experience.
Could we speed up on this ticket Support? This might be some bad servers on your end or something.
