i need to move out one sim without the entire family moving

okay so i have a family on my sims 4 and two people got married but i recently divorced them and now im trying to get one of them to move out of the house but i don't know how to move out one sim without moving the whole family, is there any way i can move just one sim out?

Go to Manage world then Manage household and split the family there.

but what if the house your trying to move in to
is empty

That should not matter.
When you split a household using the method mentioned earlier, it essentially creates a new household; you can then move that new household into the empty house without issue.
That said, you will want to make sure the empty house you are moving them into is something they can afford.
