Re: Cannot find the Walk in Closets in build mode

@alternate8Huh... might want to check your view filters on the upper-right corner of the item list on the bottom-right of your screen.

Are you using Twisted Mexi's "Better build-buy"? It works pretty differently from standard.

Try opening up the "Content" section and changing the options.

  • @Psychotps OMG!! THANK YOU!! I had The better build-buy mod installed, but removed it awhile back, because of it messing with my cc. I went under the content menu, & checked everything except Hide Maxis. Then I went to the storage function, looked under dressers, & there they were! Somehow they have been marked as cc, even though they still have the little Get Together icon on them too.🤔 I'll just chalk that up to a mod, or maybe the better build-buy messed with my game? I don't really care, I'm just so happy I know how to find them now, lol!😅 This was driving me crazy, so seriously, thank you!!🙏😁

No, the better build/buy wouldn't make them marked as CC, especially if it's not installed. It's a WONDERFUL mod. The expanded catalog ALONE makes it worth it. (5 rows of items instead of just 2?) Plus it adds in debug and liveedit objects into the normal categories, basically multiplying your available options ten-fold. It adds hundreds of items that are already in the game, but normally hidden, and puts them back into the menus.

You likely have an override CC mod. It's possible to make a CC that makes an object that overrides the original, maybe giving it new colors, swatches, or functions. I have one on MTS that changes Miko Ojo's beret available to everyone. Normally you can't use it. I changed how it works and it now shows the CC icon on it. That's normal with my mod installed. You likely have one for the closets.

Better Build/Buy will turn ALL debug and liveedit objects into "CC" on the menus, but that's normal. And the closets aren't debug items, so BBB wouldn't do that for them even if it was installed.

  • @Psychotps Okay. Well, like I said, I don't really care. I'm just happy I know how to find them now! Shortly after I installed bbb, all of my cc furniture disappeared from build mode. My cc clothing was still in CAS, but my cc furniture was gone. I found the solution to remove bbb on this forum, & it worked. I removed it, & boom, all of my cc furniture was back. I also discovered you can do many of the things bbb does with the mccc mod. Not all, but it can do the main thing that I installed bbb for, which was to automatically unlock all locked items. I was getting annoyed, having to type in the cheat to unlock them every time I opened the game, lol! :D

@alternate8 That's why I said BBB changes how it works. BBB has CC, Debug, and Liveedit objects OFF by default. You have to turn them on in the filters menu I mentioned. It actually works better because you can turn on and off any one of the four. Maxis, CC, debug, and Liveedit. Personally, I just love having the massive number of items available.

It doesn't matter much. Glad you finally found those items! Have fun playing!
  • @Psychotps OMG!! Thank you... again, lol!!! I wanted to see what you were talking about, so I re-download bbb (glad I did too, because there was an update for paranormal stuff, which I have). I went into build mode, set the content filter to just show cc, & everything was there!! I can't remember where I found the thread to remove bbb, but if you can find it, you should post this solution on that thread. I'm psyched, because I do really like bbb, I just thought I couldn't use it, because it removed the cc. Now I know it was just hiding it, lol! Thank you so much, for realsies!! :D
