Hello,
is there a way to cancel this event or hide the event UI? Every time I travel it's reopended and I have to minimize it. After all I dont want to take part in this event, so the UI ist completely useless for me.
I have searched the options/settings, but there is no related entry to disable/hide it.

I have noticed all threads with people asking to turn off, disable or even hide the event pop-up or live icon switch have gone unanswered. This isn't surprising as EAs model is to force as much on their customers as they can.
I assume this will never be an option and am hoping someone from the modding community will find away to at least hide it. Until then, I'll stay away.

@ScarlettJohanssl and @diamok If you disable Online Social Features, in Options > Game Options > Other, the event shouldn't show up at all. This would also disable the Gallery, but you can reenable the option when you want to use the Gallery.

this dont works. I see no gallery, bust still the event.
I am sure, EA thinks, they do all a favour. But some people want to play there own game without any orders from outside they dont like to take part in.

Whats also new: When I travel within a group, grouping is canceled when I arrive at the target.
This is a complete new feature I have not read in the release/patch notes. And this is so since they put in this useless event.
Read about that trick in other threads and on Reddit. Like scarlett said, it doesn't work. Neither does taking the EA app offline, nor I'm sure no other trick will work as EA wants what they want, as always.
I tried this, but it doesn't work.
I can't access my game at all. The main pop-up that shows before the Main menu breaks my game - The play now button doesn't do anything, and if I try to close it with X, the Main menu is shadowed and I can't click on anything. I can't even exit the game without the task manager.
This bugs me so much! And the funniest part is it worked yesterday.
