EA and Respawn should reflect. (adjustment of the aim assist, matchmaking, ETC)

Hello. I'm a Korean user who enjoys Apex Legends in Korea.

Please understand that there are some awkward parts in grammar by translating my ideas into English and posting them.

In fact, Apex Legends users in Korea often leave games feeling very disappointed by the difficulties of playing this season, patch notes about next season,

and even progamers and famous streamers criticize Apex Legends, seriously considering quitting Apex Legends and playing other games...

As a user who loves Apex Legends, I'm so sorry about this situation..Why aren't you listening to users enough?

First, I would like to talk about the adjustment of the aim assist of the pad controller.

Due to the pad's aim assist, MnK users are constantly complaining, and as a result, many users quit games,

and even professional gamers who used MnK feel sorry for this and turn to pads, allowing the team to achieve higher grades. Isn't it too unfair?

I'm not saying that I need to unilaterally delete the aim assist on the pad.

I'm just saying we need a little downgrade.

In fact, users of Apex Legends are turning their eyes to a game called "The Finals." 

There is also an aim assist of the pad in "The Finals,"

but there are many Apex legend users who are paying attention to "The Finals" because MnK users are not overwhelmingly at a disadvantage.

The next thing I want to say is to fix matchmaking and solve converter and cheat program problems.

Yesterday, while watching Apex Legends on Twitch,

I saw a broadcaster whose rank was gold matched with Master and Predator,

and I thought the matchmaking system was a real mess.

Many users play casual games due to matchmaking problems,

but due to the current event, the map is so dark that it is difficult to play the game.

On top of that, there are a large number of users who openly use converters and cheat programs in Tokyo servers in Tokyo.

Because of these problems, progamers are even cursing and mocking Apex Legends.

With so many users leaving the game and not receiving much attention due to this problem, clubs are starting to break up the Apex Legends team.

However, Respawn and EA think nothing of this...I'm so angry!

In addition, please give me more support for ALGS and competitions in many countries...

Too many teams are breaking up because EA and Respawn have less investment in ALGS....

In fact, there is a competition called ALKC in Korea, and the grand final is scheduled in December this year,

but many people still don't know about it at all. I'm so sorry about this situation!

I'm so jealous that Valorant users are entertained with more invigorating competitions...

It would be hard to ask for the Seoul server back,

but at least we need more firm and faster sanctions against the numerous malicious users on the Tokyo server...

I hope EA and Respawn will love Apex Legends a little more and serve us in a better direction.

    I agree aimassist is broken as f... Why many pro's swap from Mnk to controller, matchmakin is a joke and this season you saw they actually have some sort of anti-cheat goin on as players automatically removed from the match but im 100% that goes only for those free hack kids... The amount of cheaters this season is ridicilous maybe focus on that area next season and all season comin'. Tons of bigtime youtubers have already post a video of the hacker issue this season but do you actually do anythin about it? no effort is almost same as none.

    As you say, countless YouTube creators and streamers, as well as countless people through Reddit and other community sites,

    tell EA and Respawn that games are being ruined by cheat programs and converters, but I can't see any signs of getting better.

    Under these circumstances, some streamers sarcastically change their nicknames to ones similar to those of "certain countries" users who use a lot of cheat programs and converters,

    which makes them sarcastic about this situation and malicious users of "certain countries."

    Many users even say that EA and Respawn are investing profits from Apex Legends in other games,

    such as FIFA and Star Wars, and will ditch Apex Legends at any time.

    Even Korean streamers who specialize in Apex Legends are cursing Apex Legends and praising other games like Valorant and The Finals.

    On top of that, streamers swear that Apex Legends will fail faster than Overwatch 2.

    Even malicious users who use converters tell normal users,

    'If you're that dissatisfied, why don't you use converters? LOL'

    even sarcastic, even praising EA and Respawn...I'm so angry.

    As I wrote in the text, I am Korean, so I wrote a reply through a translator,

    and if there is anything you can't understand, I ask for your understanding.

    The only thing I'd like to say something about is the aim assist issue. From my perspective this is the ONE and ONLY time in this game when the developer has stuck to their guns because, imo, they believe that aa as it currently stands is the right decision for the average player, professionals be damned. And that's the right call. In so many other issues you only have to hear a pro sneeze or a streamer sneer and suddenly there's a patch to make the game harder and less fun for the 99% so the pros can have whatever it is that feels right to them. Sometimes, as a great forum contributor often reminds us, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Not sure if he would approve of the application of the quote to this particular question, but I think it hits the mark.

    First of all, thank you for replying to my post.

    I saw your reply through the translator, but the contents of the reply confirmed through the translator confirm that you are friendly to aim assist.

    I'm a user using MnK, not pads, but I'm not saying that pads should necessarily be disadvantageous and MnK should absolutely be advantageous.

    What I want to say is that even a little bit is fine, so I want to try to balance MnK and pads while adjusting the current aim assist system little by little.

    If not a few but many people sympathize with the fact that progamers and streamers strongly criticize the aim assist, I think it's a serious enough situation.

    And I think EA and Respawn should accept a little bit more serious about this and make some adjustments.

    To solve this problem, EA and Respawn are saying that people are dissatisfied because they don't even show any effort.

    The issue of AA is becoming more prominent because of the converter issue.

    As one user who loves Apex Legends, I never want MnK to flow to an absolute advantage and leave a lot of users.

    The average MnK player can't one clip you with an r99 almost every single time. But the average controller player can. How is that fair? MnK gets no aim assist to help them so if someone sucks at aiming that's their own fault and they need to train but on controller they need extra help. I get that it's harder to aim on controller but ever think that perhaps it's not 40% harder?

    There are plenty of good controller players who have proven aim assist isn't necessary if you're good enough and practice, and there are also plenty of "pro' players who have proven that without aim assist they can't hit a thing.

    It needs to be fair and balanced, and currently, it's not.

    To be honest, I sympathize greatly with what you say.

    If pads were not far more advantageous than MnK as they are now, fewer progamers would have switched from MnK to pads.

    But in reality, progamers and regular players are proving that pads are more advantageous than MnK.

    Even the team prefers progamers who use pads.

    Like so many people, I also want a fair environment for pads and MnK.

    I never want a situation like this, where either side has a big advantage.

    @coffeedderall What good players have proven you can play without Aim Assist? I'm actually curious about this since its been a decade since I played without it and I couldn't move and shoot at the same time.

    Anyway there will never be a situation where both sides agree things are "fair." People of any age typically agree things are "fair" when their side wins so I don't trust the community to agree on what's fair. My stance has always been keep the lobbies separate.

    Of course, as you say, it would be difficult to create a perfectly fair environment of 50:50 due to people who are indiscriminately dissatisfied,

    whether it be a pad player or a MnK player.

    But most of all, what is sad is the current situation in which EA and Respawn are neglecting this situation and attempting no resolution...

    We don't need to launch into a debate about what qualifies someone as an "average" player, but I feel pretty confident that one-clipping a moving target is the exclusive domain of a fairly small percentage of top-tier players. Having used controllers since 2001, always on shooters, and with 25k matches in this game alone, I can say that a true one clip from an enemy in my lobbies is rare, and from me as the shooter are virtually non-existent. Not sure where the watershed might be, but if I had to guess I'd say it's in diamond. I'm sure platinum players do it, but if you're looking for consistency I'd say higher. Just a guess. I'll certainly allow for correction from people who know more about high-tier lobbies than I do.

    Plenty of what??? Streamers and pros? I'm neither, and I'm confident in saying that normal people, the vast majority of players in this game, are also neither. They, WE, are not looking for a second job. Already have one and one is enough. Normal people are not going to spend hours in the firing range practicing so they can be handed half of their old accuracy rate when they finally get into a match. And for what? So a handful of diamond-tier players can finally have it proved to them that there's more holding them back than a handful of master-tier controller players?

    Yes, there's a problem. Get rid of crossplay, by all means. But then you still have a problem of whether you segregate pc lobbies by input, and if you do then how do you prevent people from cheating input detection?

    @Zamaha400 I've seen a couple twitch streamers do bronze or rookie to masters w/o aim assist. Sure they aren't as accurate as an MnK player per se, but it's pretty clear that the current level of AA is overkill. Many controller pros themselves have even said it. I think something like 0.2 or 0.25 would be fair. That way controller will need a good amount of skill to get good with.

    I don't see them separating lobbies though as people always want to play together regardless of their inputs and systems. I have plenty of friends on controller and some on console and I would hate to not be able to play with them, but just a little nerf to aim assist could go a long way, and I think most good players won't even notice it that much, or they would quickly adapt.
