Hire Better Data Analysts

I'm right here, my friend, and I feel a little guilty for getting my drop ship back... since I play as little ranked as is humanly possible. Though who knows? Maybe now I'll play it a little more.

But I feel pretty strongly that as goes ranked so goes the rest of the game. And fixed drops just wasn't the way I wanted to see this game go. I could go on about why, but I feel like most of the dev's stated reasons for reverting were correct. They weren't the only reasons it should be happening, but they were all of them right. I've played games in the past that started out with an unranked mode and a ranked mode that was identical but with ranks. And then over time the ranked mode would evolve so far away from the unranked mode as to be almost a completely different game with different rules and even different mechanics in some cases. And always, ALWAYS the "evolution" was driven by a pack of entitled sweats who felt their opinions were the only ones that mattered because it's THEIR game or some other nonsense. You weren't even allowed to voice an opinion if you couldn't produce statistics showing that you were part of the top half of the top one percent. That kind of elitism is problem enough, but once in a while you get a developer who really believes that the competitive scene is the game and the other 95% of the player base is just there to breathe the sweat. I'm not always grateful to Respawn for everything, but I am grateful that they're not that developer.
