Hop Up Weapon Ideas and Firing Modes

Since theres less Loadout being removed for whatever reasons... What about expanding the rest of weapons to share some of the current Hop Ups!... or even return some of them as different!

1.- Havoc Rifle (Select Receiver): Remove Completely the Activation Delay when switching to Single Shot and return to 35 Ammo Magazine. (5 Ammo Per Shot)(Like the Prowler)

2.- Charge Rifle (Select Receiver): Option to change to a Single Chargin Beam Shot (Like Titanfall 2) or Option to change to a Beam Laser that overheats with time (Change to Energy Weapon)

3.-  Wingman and Longbow (Skullpiercing): Increases damage to Helmets only and uses 2 Ammo Per Shot (Skullpiercing only activates when Aiming) (Like Precision Choke)

4.- Alternator and RJ45 (Disruptor: Increases damage to Shields Only (No Health) but reduces 50% the Rate Of Fire. (Can be enabled or DIsabled like switching Firing Mod)

5.- L STAR (Legendary): Transform it to a Legendary Weapon again with Bigger Ammo Capacity.

6.- Devotion (Normal): return Devotion to Normal Gameplay but remove Turbocharger and decrease Ammo Capacity to Original (just like the Havoc)

As far this is the best way to reimplement the older Hop Ops as use for another weapons.

    1. A shorter delay would be nice, like a mini version of the charge rifle, to give the timing a better feel, and a thinner tracking beam would be nice, but as a hit scan weapon, the delay is taking place of bullet travel so we will probably never see an automatically hit to button tap hit scan weapon.

    2. I really like the idea of this.  Would likely still be hard to stay on target at long range but would have to be that lower initial damage number to keep it from being an OP long range beast and give it a mid to short option.  Suggest that it stays sniper ammo as the trade off so you have to decide on resource management, otherwise why have any other gun ever if you can just rush in and melt people.

    3. That would be a good way to bring back SP.  Base stats would need to be adjusted again.

    4. Now to the real reason I came across this post, the Alternator.  Now in the past it had a brief shining moment of glory only to be brought back down to the mud.  And yet the Sentinel gives me hope, here’s why.  Two words; disruptor, charge. Give the Alternator the same perk but in a limited capacity.  Sacrificing a shield cell, charge time, and cooldown before being able to recharge again, is a fair trade off to relive those glory days.  As for the RE45, it could use a little buff love but I like it as the peppy little bother of the R99,  it’s a great place to store my attachments until I can find one.

    5. and also 6.  I have to say I like how this is right now. Devo is a beast and should be golden.  L-Star could use some tweaking though, it is a rough ride.

    Cheers

  • That would give us that ability of customization the game needs for weapon expansion...

Also they should consider implementing more Golden Attachments for everyone to be able to create a Legendary Weapon but without having to just looting for one...

  • @ZenmuroneThe wingman and longbow currently have built in skullpiercers, but the wingmans skull piercer multiplier was nerfed from 2.15 to 2.1, alternator and re-45 don’t do extra shield damage but when disruptor rounds were removed they increased the base damage so they arnt entirely bad weapons and I was kill leader with 8 kills the other day with a Re-45 and Im pretty bad lol but to be fair I was playing Gibralter who has a overpowerred gunshield, im not a fan of removing L Star and adding devotions back because L Star was a awful weapon and I always hated those in care packages also keeping ammo for a devotion was always a pain because of how much ammo it uses so quickly... and a devotion actually has mastiff/kraber power if not more than those imo
