Never gave MM feedback in my 1300hrs, here it is and it is bad.

I believe time played is a bad variable for MM to use for the entire player base. Even if we totally exclude smurfs and new cheater accounts into the argument, the correlation between skills and time played is probably only somewhat strong in low ranges like 0-500 hours or something like that but after that, the correlation becomes so weak it will make the matchmaking even worse than it is now. There are causal players with 1000+ hours in this game who cant get out of gold (and probably come to this forum and complain about cheaters and smurfs hahah) and there are gamer kids who gets to diamond their first split. 

Ive said it many times before: I think most people who complain about the MM first need to accept the logic that in a PERFECTLY matched MM, you would end up with more or less 1 KD and 5% win rate after "many" games. Thats how "sweaty" this theoretically "perfect" SBMM would look like. So before complaining about the SBMM, then at least use this as a reference to assess the current SBMM. Most SBMM complainers are mad because they regularly cant drop 5-10 + kills games even though they are utterly mediocre at this game. 

My biggest complain about the SBMM, or rather the ranked system design, is that Respawn focus too much on player retention and to little on competitive integrity. Their MAIN GOAL with the design should be to ASAP put every player at the rank where they belong and this goes for both promotion and demotion, i.e faster demotion if you generally underperform at your current rank and faster promotion if you overperform at your current rank.

i still believe its rigged , 99% of the time i get the noobs (less than 100kills) ... thats not a coincidence but on purpose.
Where is the super duper new MM the promised ? I bet it got killed by the decision makers that still want a loop hole for the "special" customers to make them happy.

1KD is theoretically perfect balance, nothing against it, its up to you then if you would play carefully or recklessly pushing every squad you find and got punished for it.

Pro players would be getting owned in 50% of fights because they would play against other pros. (That would probably depend most on positioning and who is to third party.)

Respawn probably wouldnt like it because of streamers making this game good money, kids wanna see bully squad owning whole lobbies, everyone wants huge YT videos where they can Pred squad bully some casual PUBS, its just human factor at this point. I think people naturally hate fair play trying to avoid it and they complain, calling for fair play only when they are the ones getting owned.

Yeah there is probably many reasons why Apex will never get fair MM.

Thats probly why they dont wanna separate pre-made from solos,

I believe they have their research done and game would probably make less money if fair.

Most players would probably be too desperate in game I guess.

Id rather play with same skilled players as I am, than bully whole lobby in one game and get absolutely owned by sweaty pre-made in next one.
Thats why I like PUBG. Very punishing game with tight skill gap where solo players without squads can do better in no-fill matches than with team.

I like dynamic playstyle of Apex Legends, but that MM is really killing fun for me most of time.

The problem is that a "1 KD" strict SBMM would kill the game. It can take up to 5 minutes for me to find a Diamond3-master lobby at peak hours and even longer at off-hours and in those lobbies, the skill variance is much greater than "1 KD". As a matter of fact, most predators are smurfing in those lobbies. 

But what I mean was that I think too many people assume that they "deserve" to be able to have 10+ kill games even though they havent put in the time and effort to even deserve it. How can there be a matchmaking that would allow EVERYONE, from the noobiest noob to the sweatiest pro, to have "good" games in most of the matches? Such matchmaking is impossible. 

@NickBeam27Look Nick, I get you, but what alternative is there? My stance is if you put in effort to get good you should see the benefit of that - slay lobbies. Sbmm means you will never slay anything aside from when the game randomly puts you into some low elo lobby on purpose. Which btw is a thing! The 20 kill badge for eg is earned in low elo lobbies, there is no way preds are killing 20 preds for eg...

So weather you want it or not, and weather sbmm is a thing or not no one will be happy in the long run. In order for one person to succeed with sbmm someone else always has to suffer. To me, the only remedy to this is to have random lobbies with a wide variance in skill aka no mm. That seems fair., as soon as you "plan" a plyer's lobby you are essentially rigging the match, I call bs on that.

Better plyers should have better stats that show and lesser players should lose more, that is what makes sense to me, even if it means I, myself will be losing more matches, at least I know it is fair and my stats actually mean someting.

@NickBeam27Not my MM. I played AHL and NHL players half the time, but my teammates were literally coming straight from a beer league. I just can't... doing +2000 dmg, playing a +100.000 kill Lifeline champ 3-stacking with her two Master badge friends, lobby, with my max. 200 dmg teammates. If I play Ovechkin, Backström, and Oshie, I need Crosby and Malkin on my team, to have any kind of chance. I just never get them.
That's partly why Control's more fun. Way more balanced MM. 8 teammates, so the chance of having 1-2 of them who can play is higher.
