Shotgun problems

Mozambique is FAR too weak right now. It's only use is during the start 3 minutes where you just touch down and want to find something to protect yourself. But even with this gun, you can't kill an enemy that fast. It's really slow and hits for such a bad damage number that it just feels better to punch someone rather than take it.


The Eva-8 is better. I main it and you NEED to be really close for it to work. Else, you die. Simple as that.

Everyone knows about the peacekeeper so. Yeah.

Mastiff is a 50/50. It works sometimes, and it doesn't work at other times. It's a gamble. I could even use a peacekeeper (no choke) to kill a mastiff user who has hit me 3 times right on the body, which should have been a kill. So, like i said, it's a gamble.


I just feel that the other 3 shotguns should be buffed to match the power of the peacekeeper, or the peacekeeper should be nerfed to match the power of the others. Right now, the peacekeeper is far too strong (For D1 players, its literally a felwinter's lie). The choke just does all the work for you. It isn't anything else but the choke. It is literally a sniper. Just whip it out, aim, and shoot. And you deal 80 damage at a minimum, which is devastating for anyone with blue shields and below. The peacekeeper needs a nerf, no matter what people think, because its a living meta weapon that is really easy to get.

  • The shotguns in this game are all over the place. I personally don't like the Mastiff, something just feels weird about it and I can never kill anybody with it but I should probably fix that in training. Peacekeeper feels better, but that's just me I guess.

    The peacekeeper is a bonkers weapons, I've been sniped by the * thing from someone in swamps shooting up to me in hydro, blue armor almost gone in 1 shot. What in the * is up with that? The Eva8 loses all effectiveness beyond like 20m or so it seems like? It's extremely unreliable if you're not indoors or in a tight area fighting in any of the little village/base areas. Eva8 deals less damage and has less pellets, it seems to me that if the pellet counts were swapped between the peacekeeper and eva8 they would be almost identical in power. Do something else with the peacekeepers effective range, tweak the spread on both guns, and they would be much better balanced. A shotgun shouldn't be sniping beyond 100m -.-

    I don't understand why Mozambique and P2020 are in the game, P2020 should be combined with the RE-45 with single/triple and maybe it can utilize the selectfire for full auto and Moz can probably just be removed? It feels weird having a well rounded (* wingman) arsenal of weapons, and then have 2 outliers that are just useless. People regularly make the argument of 'its an early game weapon, throw it away when you find something else' but you're at a significant disadvantage when you find a Moz/P2020 and someone finds literally any other gun. If instead when you found a Moz/P2020 it was an eva8/re45/alternator then you would be in a much better position to fight someone with any other gun.

    Wouldn't it be cool if you found like 2 MOZ you would dual wield them, like its not the dmg that is bad, its the amount of bullets, you can't kill a person with 3 shots, so what if you dual wield them and it doubles the dmg, also talking about the alternator then, its not a bad gun but it feels weaker then the other guns, i know this was a shotgun topic, but i would think that it would fix the problem and kinda balance it, it would do dmg but you have to find 2 guns to make it work

  • 50 / 50 for mastiff?  really?  ..  i played 2 times with mastiff. and it has 1 hit kill even enemy has level 3 armor. 

  • nah, it just means ur lucky with the hits. I personally have played about 15+ games with the mastiff and its actually a hit or miss. I've hit people for 150 damage while at the same time deal 18 damage at the same distance. It's annoying sometimes when that happens.
  • dual wielding wouldn't be that bad, it gives it more power for end game because currently, the only use for it would be in early game when you just want a weapon to use, but, i feel that allowing it to have a magazine increase would be nice as well.

    I understand the problem with the alternator but as of now, i kind of like it because of its ROF which is quite low, which is really good for the longer ranged fights. I do agree that it isnt on par with all the other weapons and i believe that it should be buffed to match all the other sub machineguns.
