Account under sanction? for no reason.

Yesterday, at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM I was playing apex legends, then left to go to work for a few hours. I get home at 10:00 PM and attempt to log in, where I was redirected to a " Sing in failure, sign in is currently unavailable" I proceeded to check my internet connection and even reached out to a friend to see if his Origin was working. Everything seemed to check out fine, I tried to use google chrome to log into my account, and was again stopped by the same message. At this point, I was worried my account may have been hacked or something so I proceeded to report a " technical issue" and through the prompts, a message appeared with a message saying 

"It looks like your account or the game account where you're trying to get help broke our rules.

Think your account was banned or suspended by mistake? We can create a case for you to get help with that instead. "

Extremely confused I tried to reach out to EA support to resolve this, but I was only given the option to contact through via email. Frustrated at the endless searching for a result, I made a new account which in fact I was able to contact a person through chat or call.

I started with a chat assuming the issue could be resolved in no time, seeing that I did nothing wrong at all and never received any notification of my account being "sanction"  ( went through all my emails, trash, spam etc) in the chat I was completely blown off and the person had no interest in helping me resolve the issue, so I decided to take this too a call where the person Joe who was actually able to help me, and was extremely nice and understanding. explained to me that I

A. I never received a notification about my account being "Sanction" which was confusing.

B. I had no way of finding out why my account had a sanction on it until I was contacted by the right person.  

Now with this in mind, still empty handed the next day with no answer, no direct contact information and completely running out of options, I am left to ask this board for help.

1. what do I do to find out what happened. ?

2. who do I contact?

3. has this happened to anyone else?

    When your account is actioned with a ban or suspension, you need to contact the ToS team.
    You can contact the Tos team: here.

    Read this post careful and follow the steps explained to appeal your ban or suspension.
    This can take up to 5 business days.

    @Zeelmaekers why should I have to do an appeal if I didn't do anything? or to my knowledge i didn't do anything, it would help if they gave me some sort of information on what i am being accused of, not just banning me, to basically ban me. I would be okay with going through this process if they emailed me before trying to login, dig around and jumping through hoops just to figure out that my account was banned, no i am forced to reach out to the people and where i am automatically a cheater just for posting and asking questions. 

  • @Bowi_QC i mean id rather not dispute all my transactions if i don't have too, i really enjoy apex and have absolutely no problem forking over money, but this is getting ridiculous.

    @Capt_sneaky 

    The appealing system is for if you believe this ban / suspension is applied by mistake.

    If you don't want to appeal it, you account will remain locked.

    I can't help you more then just trying you to do the right thing.

    I don't think people should tread you as a cheater, bans can be applied by mistake.

    I agree. I think the person who reported isn't entitled to have a follow-up, but the owner of the suspended account should at least receive some kind of summary, otherwise the person will never know what behaviour is problematic.

  • If you can, just do a refund.
    They banned many players in this game without reason. Anti-cheat have a lot of false-positives. (which they are proud of - probably like 10-20k people out of 500.000 were banned without reason but this is not a problem since it raises their stats (they can brag about efficiency)).


    You won't get help, low IQ kids on this forum will just call you out on cheats and EA will send an auto reply to your unban ticket.

    If you like it or not - this is just reality in this game

    Nah... BS.  Dont run macros, bunny hopping, mouse scripting for everything you can possibly do to get the upper hand on legit players.  Sorry... Don't believe you..

  • @BurnYaBad  i don't run anything, the only thing i could think off that might have done this. Is my clock on my computer, my time zone and everything wasn't put on auto and i could careless if you don't believe me, you're a shining example of what i am talking about. People who just point fingers without any evidence what so ever.

    @Capt_sneaky  your clock settings on your PC won't get you a ban.. lol 

    Just do an appeal if you didn't do anything wrong then you'll get unbanned, plain and simple. 

    If you cheated or scripted then deal with the consequences that's all there is to it..


  • im very suspicious of this whole thing. i cant quite decide whos more fishy the strange ban for no reason or the trustworthiness of this vocal dude?

  • My account got sanctioned. I had a number i could call. Got told i broke a rule. They said they will escalate it and i will be contacted by email. First time for a ban and my account getting sanctioned and this is how they treat people. It is disgusting. And they also wont tell you until after they investigate. Im sorry this isnt much help hope you get it fixed. I also despise the fact they say 14 days someone will be in contact with you, like we havent paid for a service, this is theft at the highest level.
