@Frosty20203 This is one of the skills that you need to improve or learn. Not only killing but also finishing your downs. What makes apex unique is its time to kill which longer compared to other shooters. Yes it's easier to kill people when you can communicate with your squad through mic. I suggest to stray away first from sniping since all your knockdowns will only be revived by the enemy teammate if you're too far,
- @Cheese9Man This is literally why I don't really bother sniping on Apex! My long range knocks just end up getting rez'd, so I just tend to stick with SMG/AR/LMG. Also, I'm bad, so that affects my weapon choice too
- @dSKyNafinchin Used to use the Triple take a lot (pre-carepack) when I want to farm for a 2k badge. LOL!
Sniping can really annoy the enemy but not really wipe them out. Same here the longest ranged weapon that I'll use is a G7 or an R301.- @Cheese9Man Wow... Not sure why I've never thought of just using a marksman/sniper to try to get damage badges. I have the 2k badge on Pathy and Octane, but have only been able to come within 25 damage (literally 23 damage away) from getting the 2.5k badge (I think that is the next tier?). I've gotten 3,500+ damage in Arena... but I don't count that, for obvious reasons.
I'm actually quite fond of the Scout, so I might start trying to focus on that, to try to get higher damage badges. Like you, that's the longest range weapon I'll use. I will sometimes humor myself and pick up a Kraber. That typically just ends up in the hands of whoever killed me while I was trying to use it XD
Yes sorry. Should have said I can get a knock and then finish them to a deathbox. But that still isn’t a kill unless their entire squad gets killed. Again, that means my K/DR is more reflective of the types of teams I’m on rather than my ability to win gunfights. All I’m saying is that is discouraging. I see my knock stats going up though. But what does that get me? I’m still not getting good skins or apex pack rewards after several years because my k/dr stays below .3 even though my knock stays are good.
I’m convinced that if I knock someone else then I finish them, that should be a kill for me, even if they get Respawned. After all, Spawn is defined as offspring or new life. When you are respawned your death counter goes up by one. That’s a kill. I want credit for it! No if’s or buts! If I can die multiple times in a game then I should get credit when I finish enemies. I know everyone has been programmed to accept the current way of counting kills, but you all gotta stop drinking the koolaid. Me killing one enemy is every bit as an accomplishment to me as a pred killing an entire squad and then getting 3 kills. Hey! I killed one so give me my one! I demand it!
want more players in Apex? Change the way you award kills. Trust me!
- @Frosty20203 You don't have to kill the entire team to get a kill for the person you downed. If you down and anyone on your team boxes them before your team dies you get the kill.

I thought to be awarded a kill, you have to knock an enemy and then that entire same squad must be wiped out (killed) and you need to survive that enemy squad. Are you saying if my teammate finishes someone who I knocked, then I get a kill even if the other squad later survives? Sorry if I’m misreading your comment.

I do have a long range kill badge though. I feel lag is messing up my sniping opportunities.
