Again, this system does not do what it was supposed to do. Apex Legends doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
Constantly, the game is saying you should play as a team. But now, more than ever, you are better off on your own.
You really do not get that many more kills as a team of 3, sorry. The important parts of the new system are that it takes a huge buy in of RP now, and that you're getting your team mates kills, but NOT if you are dead when they get them. That means you have to place high for kills to matter as always, but also if you drop down as a team of 3 get a few kills and you are dead before you get half the other teams in your game dead, congrats, your score is going to suck.
People believe commercials too much. If Mountain Dew sold itself as a health drink, I swear at least 1 in every 5 people would not only believe it, but run around telling everyone else how wrong they were for thinking it wasn't.
Load as a premade with 3 if you want to play as a team. If you are a pug, there are people here who want to try playing as a team and some of them are even ok or good at it. But for the most part, if it isn't working, then ignore your mates and make sure you get top 5. Otherwise your extra kills from your team mates will not make a difference.

Increasing the value of kills for bottom half finishes would be a good start. The "kill 2 teams and still lose RP in Bronze IV" is a perfect example..
It seems like a simple way to start adjusting Ranked until it truly reflects both individual skill and teamplay. Right now, it emphasizes team placement too much.
