I was watching some of the early videos of the new map, were some streamers got early access and testing new map. I'm really worried that it might not be the map for Caustic. A fat target in vaste open areas. I mean you literary can ride a vehicle, that's how vaste it is and I don't how Caustic with traps or gas ultimate can compete with characters like Pathfinder who can get to high ground in a second.
This map will kill Caustic.
After playing in the new map maining Caustic, since the day season 7 launched, I have to say I was right and Caustic is very weak (if not the weakest) in this map, especially due to his large hit box it's an easy target for snipers and also first to go down in case of 3rd party. Just a fat dude running in open areas hoping no one sees him XD
When houses has two floors and 4 doors (2 on each floor), how could he fortified?! When a tunnel got 2 floors and many entrances, how can he fortified that? He can't even do things he was able to do in other maps.

I've played most my games this season with caustic and think he does just fine on this map, if he's teamed up with the right legends. If you can get high ground with a legend such a pathfinder or octane, you're pretty much set with his gas.
@Alphabets yeah he can only put so many barrels down at one time, but at least if you can cover several entrances or areas, you're either made aware which side theyre pushing when they set your barrels off or know you've minimised the number of entrances they can come in through unnoticed.
@GH0STEDbyME yeah, considering they said they'd made his gas more lethal in terms of damage, the amount of enemies just walking through it like its nothing is unreal!
It might be helpful to put the gas canisters on a trident, if you haven’t tried it yet.
Other option is to combo the Caustic gas with a Horizon ult.
