I`m sorry but, the DEVS mess up, and now they are trying to clean their mess, but i don`t see it happen.
To try such a big, and complete change in a game, that is out there for more than a year and a half is very bad. And this is a change, no one, and i mean no one ask for it.
So you got no excuses to experiment with this one.
Same with the Energy Weapon meta and that you pretty much try to introduce camping meta, not only on competitive scene, but on the normal and ranked scene as well. Ranked is terrible actually.
Why would i want to play a fast paced shooter, by camping ? This is the worst thing in the world.
I agree with their statement that when a team get knocked, they should get significant advantage. But lowering the TTK is not the case. And you pretty much contradict to yourself.
Why then you are making a complete game changing ability like the Auto-Revive that pretty much punish the better team that gets a knock ? There is pretty much no sense in that. Your increasing the fight in the very wrong way, and you pretty much does not reward the better player/s.
By strategy you pretty much mean camping, because its pretty much this, unless your playing competitive. Your words for strategy and positioning is pretty much camp at a good high spot with Rampart, and/or gatekeeping at the edge of the zone ... All annoying and bad things in a fast paced game like Apex Legends.
Main reason people were choosing Apex over Warzone was this, that the game was not going around on sitting on the building and waiting to shoot someone from 50-100+ meters completely on safe, and to have so much empty time doing nothing.
Some casuals loves this, because they think they are good, killing someone that doesn`t even know where are they, but you will never ever improve that way, and you will always be a bang average player.
All of the all time best players were Path/Wraith because they play insanely aggressive and thats how they improve their movement, their aim, their game sense, and get better.
Trying to limit me is all but wrong.
And the last statement that you try to prioritize strategy/positioning over mechanical skills is wrong on all level. Sorry but to develop top level mechanical skills take so, so much time, so your skill level should not be penalized, quite the opposite, you should reward this skills.
Also outplaying your opponent is pretty much getting a better positioning and strategy, and to be able to get advantage over them.
Strategy/positioning was always a factor, but just because some low tier players couldn`t capitalize on them, its not our/your problem.
Its not a skill to drop on 100% safe spot, to get loot for 15 minute, sit somewhere at the middle of the zone on a big roof/building and camp/shooting.
Let me get back at the Energy Weapon, i`m sorry but i just don`t like using them, and right you are in a huge disadvantage if not using them. A total mess. I just can`t get the feeling by playing them, compare to the rest. Does not see the skill level needed.
P.P. Just one last thing i forget about the EVO armor. It was a high risk > reward choice. Now you pretty much take that choice from me, which is bad. You were in a disadvantage with the EVO, until you level it to the purple, which could pretty much killed you in a lot of situation, because you decide to play on 1 bar shield, instead of 2/3/4.
Also you pretty much got to do it early. For me it was perfectly balanced, even in the ranked/pro competitive. Pretty much 1 player of the team was getting EVO and try it to level it.
If at the end of the game the whole team got an Evo Shield, that mean they deserve it, because they have fought a lot of battles, kills a lot of squads and take their EVO, so they deserve to have a bit of advantage(you could pretty much outplay a Evo shield user if your better).
The positive thing is, you understand that this was a very bad decision and your losing your player base and act kinda fast to fix this it. So gratitude for this.
