@NitromethaneAP A VERY serious issue that no one here seems to have a valid response to is:
Why is it OK that (overall) lower skilled players are winning MORE than people who practice to get better?
I’m diamond/Master level and I have Gold-skill level friends who win more pub matches than me. It’s actually ridiculous— I have won two matches in the last 15 days. My pub lobbies are literally half pred/diamond trails.
How is this ok?
How come people are concerned with the gaming experience of the lower skilled tier but not concerned with the experience of the people who happen to have decent aim?

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Because there are a ton more lower level folk than upper level. Masters and preds are .2% of the player base. Diamonds are what, another couple %?
I am not saying it is right that you win less but I'm not sure what the answer is.

What about randomly populated lobbies? If you want to win more matches than you have to practice to get better. Improving your skills = more wins.
The problem is that SBMM negates this. If you improve your skills then you only end up playing harder opponents and that means less wins. So ultimately, everyone is winning at the same rate (except the very best team in the world).
Isn’t that ridiculous?
If pub lobbies were random, Then at least stats would mean something. My friend in Gold had a HIGHER K/D and win ratio than I do and I swing between diamond and masters. He is having MUCH more fun AND success than me. Is that fair?- hayhor6 years agoHero@Axs5626Sxa5001 I'm not arguing it is right but you asked why they do it. They do it because they can make 95% of the player base happy, which equates to the most people playing and spending.
I've said it before, I'd like to see an option for sbmm on or off, or they take more time to match people up so the lobbies are actually correct.- 6 years ago@hayhor I hear you—
but is 95% of the playerbase happy?
I’m not sure. Average players (which comprise the bulk of the playerbase— think of a bell curve) are consistently playing extra competitive matches, where as before, sometimes they would run into weak teams and sometimes they would run into strong teams.
SBMM = sweat for everyone. Why? So the lower skilled players can win and spend money. I get it— but it sucks for everyone who isn’t in the “low skill group”.
