@Axs5626Sxa5001 I'm not arguing it is right but you asked why they do it. They do it because they can make 95% of the player base happy, which equates to the most people playing and spending.
I've said it before, I'd like to see an option for sbmm on or off, or they take more time to match people up so the lobbies are actually correct.

but is 95% of the playerbase happy?
I’m not sure. Average players (which comprise the bulk of the playerbase— think of a bell curve) are consistently playing extra competitive matches, where as before, sometimes they would run into weak teams and sometimes they would run into strong teams.
SBMM = sweat for everyone. Why? So the lower skilled players can win and spend money. I get it— but it sucks for everyone who isn’t in the “low skill group”.
