So Caustic's new skin from the Fight or Fright collection is pretty cool and I managed to get it on my second roll of the Apex Pack.
However it's pretty apparent that his head is considerably bigger than the default skin model, bigger than any other Legend's head in fact. Does this affect his headshot hitbox? Very curious.
If any of you know the answer to this please do let me know!
Not sure if shooting his hair count as damage since we can't test without new training ground with friend.
I have the same concern with bloodhounds lol. I'm assuming both the heads of caustic/bloodhounds skins are mostly fluff...would be pretty dumb otherwise.
During Season 1 there was a lot of controvery regarding Pathfinder's hitbox because his legendary skins added very thick looking legs etc, it was stated that skins do not affect hitboxes.
Bangalores hair doesn't count as headshots for example, and as @MandatoryIDtag pointed out, Bloodhound's head hitbox isn't as large as the helmet (but still largest of all legends)
So you won't have to worry about the skin affecting performance in that manner.
Do beware tho that bright flashy looking skins will draw enemy player's attention more rapidly, and make juking/hiding in a dark corner harder when you're pursued with low health. For that reason i never use Wraith's Quarantine 722 skin.
As soon as I equip it, literally everyone is shooting at me at all times lol 😇

I absolutely love it and won't swap out.
However. Being bright yellow with a white face at center makes for too easy a target.
It just means, one must try harder for wins.
@ColdHours GG when you're running through epicenter etc...spot you a mile away haha.
I love being the bait as caustic tho, show myself, team runs at me and poof, gas traps. Then my team just mows them down. I'm just wondering if it does increase my headshot hitbox cause I peek alot.
