The Volt is a great SMG makes up for the R99 going into the care packages.
People will moan about the guns all season, as soon as they bring something new into the game and people are dying by these weapons everyone then starts to moan. It's exactly the same thing that is going on with the snipers at the moment, because people are getting killed by the TT and CR they have decided that they are 'overpowered' and should be nerfed...

@rockyboy1998
Devotion was "nerfed"? Reverting it back to its ground stats after removing it from the care package is not "nerfing" it.
People have always complained about the Havoc and the R99. So yes people complaining all season is technically correct, but not in the phrasing. Because they've complained about these two all season, every season.
R99 was put into a package because it is over powered. So idk whether to call "the volt is a great smg makes up for the r99" over-sighted, misinformed, or toxic. The R99 didn't need a replacement. The volt was put in because apex needed a new gun, both the energy and smg selection needed another choice. Not to replace the R99.
Judging your response as a whole, it seems you missed my entire point, and turned it into something totally different. You seem to be looking at the smg's and snipers, and care package guns.
I'm looking at energy guns. Specifically energy guns. From a mechanical, practical, and balancing standpoint. Why energy? That is what most of the gun complaints are about, whether its the devotion, havoc, or volt. Yes other guns get complaints too (not that i've ever heard one about the CR in recent seasons), but not at the same frequency as the energy guns. Therefore the energy guns take priority.- 5 years ago@GreenxxFire When a gun is made worse than its current form that is a 'Nerf' but I'm not going to get into a petty argument about that.
The Havoc was overpowered, agreed but it was then nerfed and was very balanced I thought. The return of the turbo charger makes the weapon overpowered but it is hard to find a turbocharger which IMO makes this balanced.
I didn't find the R99 OP, I thought it was a great weapon but again IMO I thought the prowler was going to be the gun to go inside of a care package.
I did go off topic with my comment... agreed.
They took out an SMG and put and SMG back into the game, it makes sense. They do need to look at the Volt because I think it could do with having some bullet spread at a certain distance.
People are moaning about the energy weapons again now because they have had a new addition (volt) that is very powerful, the devotion came out of a CP and turbochargers have been added making energy weapons much more attractive to pick up meaning more and more players are noticing they are getting killed by these weapons.
As soon as S6 came out, I played about 10 games and each game I was ripped apart by a energy gun of some description, I hated it. But, eventually players have realised that guns like the Hemlok, Prowler, TT, R301 are still able to tackle these weapons with different strats and rotations.
Personally, I think at the moment the game is very well balanced. I think reducing the amount of energy ammo on the map would be a good idea and tweaking the Volt slightly. But you're talking about an entire new game dynamic, which IMO makes no sense.
