Re: *Bangalore's passive does not work on Control

Hey, I heard a rumor that Lifeline's passive doesn't work on Control either!  Neither does Newcastle's.  What's up with that?  Not to mention Pathfinder, since he doesn't have one to begin with.

  • @hayhor Are there any others? I didn't think this through too hard. I thought of Loba, but then I realized that she can see and ping what's in the care packages.

    Has anyone played Vantage in Control?  Maybe I'll have to give that a try to see what her passive does - certainly her ult seems pretty useful.  She must at least be able to zoom in with no weapon equipped.

  • @hayhor Nope, Ash's passive goes off on its own in Control, seemingly randomly.  It doesn't happen every time a squad mate is killed, but I haven't got it quite figured out yet.  It did so in Gun Run as well. It's just not terribly useful!

    @BigMacAttack8u His passive works. I have to turn it off every time I spawn in with him. But you would have to run around the map quite a lot in order to gather enough grenades to make use of the storage aspect!

    @pandareno1999 His passive storage passive is basically as obsolete like lifeline’s, and the long range throwing is useless becase by the time the grenade hits where you aimed, the person your aiming at has already been shot by one of your 8 teammates.

    @BigMacAttack8u I actually like the throwing passive when I'm approaching something like Barometer point B. I can yeet a frag in from quite a distance, or chuck one right to the top level with ease.  But I agree with you, 9 times out of 10 I turn it off.

    @pandareno1999 I find Wattson to be an absolute god on barometer, if you fence up the zip lines and place your ult in the center you can control the top of ping b and drop down to capture it whenever you want.

    @BigMacAttack8u

    I used to enjoy playing Wattson on Control, but I've found Catalyst to be even more fun to abuse. The only downside, comparatively, is the number of fences that Wattson can get up.  Last week my friend and I had a great time back capping the northern point on Barometer with Rampart and Catalyst.  They must have been going crazy out there!

    @pandareno1999 If you pair the Wattson fences with caustic gas you can achieve a similar effect and actually get kills from it. (The gas basically just provides extra slow) also fence placement is key, lace fences right on the edge on the internet platform so that when the come up the zip line they are forced through it and can’t destroy it.

    @BigMacAttack8u These dudes couldn't even figure out how to enter the building for several minutes, it was hilarious.  I'm talking about the northern point, "C" I think it is.  The simple one with just a door on each side and no staircase.  Catalyst's door blocking passive is rather broken since players only spawn in with one grenade.

    @pandareno1999 Lol! I’m a specialist in breaking through defenses, one knuckle cluster can completely destroy that setup (like most lol) I would recommend putting up a castle wall in font of the barriers wherever you can. Using jump pads also prevents people from getting a good visual on you when the approach. (I used to create traps all the time and lure people into them just for the pure joy of seeing my creation work, unfortunately the toxic trapper has seen his end in being useful in most cases, I have never gotten more than 16 damage of someone that wasn’t afk skin r they nerfed the trap and made it useless I’m hoping season 16 will finally buff him.) I could talk about caustic all day, but this post has to end somewhere lol.

    Based on this thread, I think I'll play Caustic in Control.  Caustic, Wattson, Catalyst heavy teams should be able to hold almost any CP against all but the best teams.

    @HappyHourSumwur Some of the legends mentioned are still useful. Fuse and Maggie are great breachers. But yeah when I see a team with no defensive legends I expect they'll probably lose.
