Why this is unfair ? Your game get crashed you can't back to the game ? Have reconnect button on others BR games and i already said about banner on my suggestion
It works fine in PUBG. When you DC, your character just stands there wherever you were when you disconnected, so people can still kill you, but at least if gives you a fighting chance to rejoin if you drop from the game with decent gear.
Are you insane? Have you played PUBG?
They have reconnect in pugb and fortnite, this game needs a damn reconnect button.
the way it works if you are still able to take damage, so people cant exploit. but if you dont take any damage and reconnect, you are fine

The only way of this actually being effective and fair is that your squad members will obtain a banner so they can revive you back in to battle with 0 gear.
you say it doesn't fit the BR style yet getting back in the game after being killed a Major gameplay mechanic. reconnecting after a DC is also standard practice in pubg for example. you know, the template all BR games were born from.
