Only the GOOD guy with the Mastif wins. I have escaped many Mastif dudes with movement. This takes practice.
There is no way, in my 3800 hours in Apex that I in any way see the need to nerf any weapon in this game. It comes down to movement, aim speed etc.
Fix the sound! This is the REAL KILLER, not the Mastif.
Mastiff is a must, its super noob friendly, and it does tremendous amount of damage, and also the range of that weapon is ridiculous. Should i continue? It has pretty much no reload between bullet, and no reload when you empty your whole "mag", which is another ridiculous thing. The mag is way too big for such powerful weapon as well.
There is a reason pro streamers call it Mastiff Legend.
When that weapon would have been a "pro" usage weapon, when they pretty much cut the mag in half, or maybe 4 bullets with full reload, like PK.
Also even pro have hard time dodging Mastiff shots, even to complete potato aimers, cause of the ridiculous high spread of the pellets.
So pretty much no movement work on most legends. Wraith have the easiest time, as well as Lifeline.
Even with a average size legend like a Bangalore, you going to eat this shots, no matter how fast you going left to right and vice versa.
As far as Hemlock, the weapon was overbuffed, and thats why they correct it. As far as Mastiff, people are complaining that is OP for way too long. And pretty much every pro have said that is super OP. Also its s**** on Eva8 big time.
Not carry a Mastiff is a big disadvantage in 99% of the fights, and 200% if you are in a building.
@sireladio Lmao Mastiff pure garbage cmon dude it's not like that. It can be inconsistent sometimes but if you have good aim 8/10 times you will destroy your opponent. Every pro uses it if possibile because it's really the most effective gun in the game, even in official tournaments. If they see a Mastiff they pick it immediately, and i'll do it too, in cqc nothing can match it, apart from PK.
@sireladioYou are way off on the mastiff. It isnt rng and the best pros have to have one when they play. Anyone that runs Gibby knows if you are going to bubble fight you need one. I run one as my secondary all the time now. I rarely see 14 after getting used to the gun.
Only shotgun I'll use over it is the care pack PK. It is even easier to do big damage.

The gun is actually straight garbage due to its rng damage. I have seen the best players loose games due to hitting 13 damage.
Shotguns are powerful but what the mastiff needed wast a nerf it was a rebalance of how it works. No gun should be a lottery if you will do damage or not.
Mastiff should have been made a slug bullet that does 50 to the body and 100 to the head. Requiring decent aim to maximize it but with 50 damage set for a body shot you would at least know what to expect and it would actually be viable. (PS 50 damage at close range but should drop heavily anything past 15 meters to a max of 15)
Plenty of pros have said that. If you don`t watched their stream, its your problem.
There is also million videos in youtube where you can type Mastiff OP or broken and they are done by streamers.
The so call 13 damage is if you you land just 1 pellet, meaning you just hit him barely. That mean you didn`t aim quite well.
People should have understand how Mastiff works till now, and how to use it.
Also how the server works as well, and why you are dying behind a cover, door or angle.
Every single streamer/pro are using Mastiff as their main secondary weapon, unless they chill in pubs.
Every single good player, know that Mastiff is the way to go, otherwise you are putting yourself in a handicap mode.

He didn`t miss a shot with the Eva8 and was strafing and crouching like a mad, while Gibby just move straight forward to him and still killed him ...
What I don't get is the over reaction of people getting mad at the Caustic buff. Don't get me wrong I hate fighting against Caustics but he definitely needs one especially in Olympus. Also, Wattson needs a buff as well. The ALGS players mostly played wraith, gibby, and bloodhound (the banner legends of this forum).
But this ain`t no Castic or Wattson or whatever legend or ALGS thread right ?
