How's everyone feeling about the Spitfire this season? I've found myself taking it a lot for either LMG damage challenges, or mostly as a placeholder for a 301. Remember when it was a placeholder for a Flatline?
I find it peculiar. It's easy to use and does decent but not super impressive damage. I generally do pretty well with it. But I still can't decide if I like using it or not. The downsides of LMGs (strafe speed, weapon swap speed) make it kinda meh.
I honestly feel as if it has become unusable.
It's slow fire-rate just doesn't compare to other fast firing weapons, maybe it's decent when mowing down multiple players, so it's a bit more consistent.
Though I find it quite hard to use when in close quarters combat.
@XHelperZ LMGs are not supposed to be very viable in CQC. It's kind of like complaining that a marksman rifle is difficult to use at close range.
Spitty's aren't that bad close range if you are good at hipfiring while crouch spam strafing.
It's too slow now. Mid-range it's still good and can stop people (usually Octanes) from just pushing you for no reason. But the CQC spitfire will just lose to pretty much every weapon now. Give me a Devo instead, as CQC Devo is like the best CQC weapon, just behind prowler, or of course a shotgun, if you can get the shotgun to do more than 12 dmg that is.
