Wattson in Season 3 is Not Useless

At first, people thought Crypto would be a counter to a Wattson and even a Caustic. Now, it is true at EMP will destroy these two Legend's traps. 

However, Traps are really things like Fences and Gas Canisters. What I'm saying is EMP will not destroy a Wattson or Caustic Ultimate. If a Wattson gets EMP, she will be stunned for the 1-2 seconds and the fences in the building will indeed be destroyed instantly. Her ultimate is still up though (unknown if it takes -50 damage because her ult has 150 health). Since Wattson's ultimate is still up, all she has to do is setup fences quickly with the 4 charges she has, pop 1 shield cell and when that cell is finished. She will have another 4 more charges to step up even more fences. By this point the Wattson or whoever else in the building will be full health. Building once again locked down. 

Now, I know what your thinking. When Crypto EMPs, the enemy squad is supposed to push and fight them while stunned and weaken. That is true. However, when I discovered that EMP doesn't destroy my Wattson's ult. I countered the Crypto squad.

• Before the fight happened, the enemy team respawned their Caustic. This gave away their location.
• I chased and downed Caustic. 
• Caustic enters a building from a distance and I countered with a Thermite.
• He is burning and door is destroyed. 
• I slide to see Caustic trying to crawl up stairs and peacekeeper him as I am sliding.
• He has no gear so his death box is not worth searching. His squad now has 1 or 2 people in it. There was a Drone so we know there is a Crypto on their team.
• I setup building and lock Caustic's Death Box down and secure the level 2 doors. While I did this, I place my ultimate on the stairs nearby Caustic's Death Box. This would also charge enemies shields but I'm sure we will win the fight if they go for it.
• We get EMP though the walls and all my fences are instantly destroyed except my Wattson ult which is still on the stairs. 
• Enemy Octane pushes the fight thinking we are weaken. I R-45 him on the stairs nearby my ultimate. I had high ground so it was easier for me to headshot him faster. 
• He gets thirsted, looted and now both his and Caustic Death Boxes are locked down. 
• Crypto is now a solo and attempts to use drone to get banners. Fails every time. At this point. His caustic most likely timed out. 
• Crypto tries to 1 vs 3 shooting my Lifeline random. I kill him for it. 

There you have it. Wattson can counter a Crypto and still lock a building down.  

Now if this was Ranked, I think most people would have just left their Caustic behind after learning they got killed by a Wattson/Crypto/Lifeline team. I mean, you are going to be at a disadvantage. My random Crypto wasn't that good at information yet. Lifeline wasn't average. I am however a decent Wattson and basically made Diamond with her. 

Wattson is decent but I still think she needs a buff to her fences and ult health. So many people just walk through her fences our around them that it can be bad at times. Good fences seems strong because they are usually scared to push a building they know people locked down or guarding. Making them rethink or their own positioning or relocate somewhere else. 

Pugs is different yes, but still a fun tip for those that don't know Wattson vs Crypto counter play.
