Biggest problems in ranked so far: people don't teamwork, hotdrop or spread to run into 1 vs multiple and die, leaving more sensable players alone or at best in a team of two for the rest of the game = only credible way to get RP in such cases was to "rat" = avoid fights till the end and try to get as high placement as possible while potentially getting some odd KP people facing crazy skilled (or software assisted) players who decimated majority of the lobby = only credible way to upperhand those players and gain more KP was great teamwork and/or letting those crazy pushers, killers kill eachother and then take more RP via placement people were so focused on getting KP that they forgot everything else in BR games, push, early KP, 4k 20bomb was the only thought in their minds = now you just emphasize it via new system Waaaaay to go Respawn! Let's see if in S11 ranked sill gets 40% of all playtime, I know that mine will probably get closer to 0! Prediction of a typical BR ranked experience in S11 for an average player playing without set squad: landing so that there is a chance to get early KP - 50/50 case ending the game with big minuses if failing to win the fight = nothing changes vs s10 if winning the first fight and getting say 2 KP each, a party just started, need to push more fights as you only got ~10-30 RP which will not cover your entry costs most of the time = focus shifts to getting into fights, taking additional risks each next fight brings you back to point nr.1 made here = the number of games when you finish with negative points will increase despite the fact that you might pull off more KP, welcome to the grindhouse or fields of desperation unless your k/d is above 2 most people will rat out the game as per usual when team will fail to deliver good teamwork and member(s) die fast = only now instead of getting at least some points you will realize that 20 min have passed and you are still on 0 RP, which will trigger you going into some berserk mode, throw some hail Maries around and still finish on 0 RP higher ranked players will brag about their kills even more = let's raise toxicity of the community to yet unseen levels more frags, more points = more incentives to use hacks than ever because who cares about placement, now frags matter even more THANKS! Meanwhile thousands of players have been hiding their way to platinum often abandoning their teammates in the process because they don't actually need to engage a team to rank up.Apex isn't all about killing players no, but it is a core part of the game due to it being a FPS, so ifs only natural that the scoring system should somewhat reflect that.That being said I personally think that respawning teammates should offer some points also, it's a high risk action that can potentially cost the whole team a match.

That max kp 7 bothered me too because it didn't make sense considering what was written below "9kp".It took me a while but I understand now.Ok so here it goes: in the new season they moved away from multipliers and instead changed it to addition. Kp is unlimited.Max RP you can get from KP is 175.Max RP you can get from placement is 100.Max RP you can get from a win with full kp is 275 (this is without subtracting the entry penalty).For a win in diamond with full kp the calculation would be this assuming you only get kills/assists on diamond players: 10x7(your kp)+ 15x7( 15 is the bonus RP you get for KP and it is tied to placement)+ 100 (this is the flat RP reward that you get from placement)- 48 (diamond entry)= 227 RPThe higher your placement is the less KP you need to get in order to max your KP RP to 175. And those are my calculation:Full kp for a win is 7Full kp for a second place is 9Full kp for 3rd place is still 9Full kp for 4th place is 12Full kp for 5th place still 12Full kp for 6th-10th place is 15They have said they changed max kp from 6 to 7 but in fact they were referring only for the kp you need for max RP if you win. It's really confusing. But I think I'm 99% right.

The system we had in place was good, if anything I was looking forward to the addition of a team oriented KP distribution that would reward teamwork, and they went in a complete opposite direction.I don't think this is what the playerbase was asking.

I agree wholeheartedly with your statement.
Respawning and reviving teammates should also carry an RP bonus it does not have to be much and it can be capped so as to avoid spamming for RP.
It is a team game after all.

@Tad844 It rewards pre-stacks, this is definitely not the case when queuing solo and your teammates have no comms, and wanna ape everything that moves....but get insta killed.

To me I don't see the fundamental problems of the ranking system being addressed. Mostly just the surface complaints of players, which isn't really the core of the issue.
The issue is at a certain point it becomes worthless trying to advance because the tiers are all effed up. You can cut the scoring system however you want, damage, respawning, etc. etc. it doesn't matter. You just don't get rewarded beyond a certain point.
This is not about getting to a certain level and not advancing - everybody reaches a tier that caps at their ability level at some point, not everybody is a secret Grand Master/Apex. But the issue was, and is, that at a certain point, you just don't bother trying because there's no reward, in personal satisfaction or actual in game reward, for advancing.
That's why people just stop trying. While this is all about splitting hairs on how scoring is done, without addressing the tier problem, the main issue won't be changed.

@Eshshshss Unfortunately the changes mean hard stuck players can make even worse decisions in the hope they get extra points. There were some top level players complaining about this last night on stream. And what is funny is they all 3 stack and typically destroy people.

Ranked is all about teamwork and strategy. So if someone is going in there without a team it will be rough. If someone is going in there and not on the same page as their randoms it will be rough. It is a game mode that heavily relies on teamwork. Without solid coms and pings it will be a rough experience. It has nothing to do with getting 20 bombs or 4k badges (Which do not mean a thing considering if you do not touch ranked in a few seasons you are placed in lobbies where it is easily obtained.) A lot of those badges were also obtained by creating a smurf and playing brand new players. Other than that badges do not mean much. I would not think to much into a majority of them but the rare few who are legit just cracked at the game that you can randomly be paired with or against. Why I always say if going to play ranked it would be best to go in with a pre made who are all on the same page. Makes the experience much better.
