@flakeeey0304 People 'hot drop' because it is actually a way to get better at the game, ideally only when you have your own full squad though.
I have no idea why people hot drop in PUBS like they are some sort of Pro and agree that they get wiped out instantly.

If people do it in pubs it’s one things. Doing it in ranked is ridiculous.
A person can swap in some mix tape if they die a lot. They won’t learn the map but they’re not learning the map anyway. At least they can learn to shoot.
- hayhor3 years agoHero@rockyboy1998 I don't think hot dropping really makes you better. Shooting someone without a gun doesn't improve your game. Landing contesting with a team or two and then pushing for fights over and over does.

Factually, 'hot dropping' makes you better. I know that from first person experience.
But, I want to clear something up.
I never play PUBS solo, so when I 'hot drop' it's with a full squad and we use it for training, whatever happens, happens.
The comment about 'shooting someone without a gun' yeah, that doesn't happen a lot lmao. In frag, if you land hot, you'll more than likely get a gun of some description, you'll have back to back fights for about 10 mins and if you come out on top then wow, you're getting better.
Plus, at places like Frag, you get the majority of the sweats.
When I was playing loads and was at my best, it was all to do with hot dropping with my squad, made ranked easier for us. My K/D went up, average damage etc.- HappyHourSumwur3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I don't think "hot dropping makes you better", at least not quickly anyways. You just don't get the reps fast enough when you are waiting a few minutes to queue up and then die in seconds over and over. I also don't see how that is fun for new players, especially solo players.
- 3 years ago@hayhor "I don't think hot dropping really makes you better" - oh I think it does. Most people stress and tense up whenever they enter a fight. The best thing you can do is break the back of that fear early on by hot drops. Or at least something like 1v1 or similar modes. Both will work. Also accuracy under pressure. Quickest way, looting for 15 min is a waste of time vs the alternative.
"Shooting someone without a gun doesn't improve your game" - Ever punch someone to death? That's precisely the "suRvIVAl game" aspect people are referring to..so....survive then lol.- reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@blackeyeriver
"Yet you basically screw the whole team by being selfish."
If you are highly skilled enough and generous of spirit enough to be willing to spend virtually every match babysitting the kinds of teammates that Apex matchmaking typically doles out to an experienced solo queue player, then I tip my hat to you, sir. I tip my hat to you.
