APEX- 2070 Super PC RESTARTING

PC build-

I7-7700k CPU @ 4.2

Rtx 2070 super

Cx 750 m

850 evo

Corsair liquid cooler

Corsair vengeance ddr4 16.0 gb

WINDOWS OS 10, version 1909

DCH Graphics Driver

2 weeks back I bought a new zotac rtx 2070 super to upgrade from my gtx 970. I had to get a new psu as my previous one was only 550 and the pc would not start. I installed the new psu and GPU and began playing games. I played Atlas, Rust, and CSGo with out issues. I booted up apex legends and after playing my first game, 5 minutes in, the pc shut down. (Sceen completely and abruptly goes black, lights flash on the case, and the computer starts back up)

I began suspecting I had a heat issue. So i installed a couple of heat monitoring programs and reopened Apex. Same issue with no spikes in temp 40 to 50 c.

I have double checked that the driver from the previous gpu was over written with the new driver using geforce experience. I reinstalled the game. I checked the event viewer for any reasons the pc would shut down nothing is being reported.

After feeling defeated I RMAed the card. I reinstalled the gtx970 and haven't had any issues. The new card came today I installed the card, updated the driver, hopped right into Apex only to have the issue happen again.

I have no idea what I can do now. I can not find anyone with similar issues. So here I am. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hey @Bigaho a quick question on the Rtx 2070 super did plug in both power cables into the card?
