When you're seeing a complete loss of content like this, it's typically due to unlinking a platform and/or linking one to a different EA account.
Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link that platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress and it will appear to have reset. Progress cannot be moved between different accounts.
It looks like that's what's happened here as well. The EA account you're on has not been around for several years, so if you've been playing for years that would have been on a different EA account. If you primarily play on Steam, that likely means the same Steam account you used in the past has now been linked to this newer EA account. To try recovering your progress, you would need to link this Steam back to the original EA account instead.
