Apex Connection Isssue since Season 4
I have had an issue with Apex since the beginning of Season 4. I have not been able to play a full game without having extreme connection issues. I have submitted a ticket, and the information I got did not help at all. I ran UOTrace multiple times and every time the support center would just have me try something new that would not work (#56578978). I opened my ports, which cause some unauthorized items to slip past my firewall, called my service provider (in which they do not port forward themselves due to security issues).
This all began when I upgraded my internet from Comcast basic 120Mbps internet to their Xfinity 300Mbps internet. This is the only game which gives me an issue, I play other games (Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, etc.) with 0 connection issues.
When I log into the Apex services it says I only have 18ms of ping to the Dallas server (which is normal), but the second I get in game my ping spikes to 500+ until there is less than 20 people in the server. The red icons pop up on the top right of the screen (Latency, Ping, Packet Loss, Prediction Errors). I tried switching servers that high higher natural ping to me (due to distance) and still the exact same connection issues happen.
If anyone could help that would be amazing.
I have finally been able to play Apex @EA_Kent. It seems that the issue came from being connected via Wifi. Since I am in a 2 story house it was very hard to get a wired connection but we finally were able to do it and I am not having connection issues anymore. It must be a problem with the Comcast Xfi modems and unfortunately they do not accept 3rd party routers.
