Apex forcing PC reboot at launch screen.
Hello, just upgraded some components. as title states, i'm experiencing a very strange issue with specifically Apex. Current specs in the upgraded rig are as follows:
- Ryzen 5 5600X
- Asus TUF Gaming x570-Plus Mobo
- 32 GB DDR4 3200MHZ corsiar vengeance rgb pro
- GTX 1070 Ti
- 650W PSU (Corsair)
- Samsung 960 EVO (m.2)
- corsair h100I AIO
tl;dr - Previous rig had no issues with any games, including Apex, only upgrades are the motherboard, CPU and ram. PSU is about <2 years old. My computer goes into a reboot @ load screen when attempting to interact regardless of PC configuration used or fixes/troubleshooting applied. This happens ONLY with Apex ALL other games/programs are functioning FINE (no issues/crashes) as of 48H after upgrade.
More detail:
I can open the game (through steam) and usually get it to load up to the point where it tells me to press a button to continue. At this point if I attempt to interact in any way my monitors go black, my pc goes dark, and then springs back up and begins rebooting. I've found a few error messages and attempted to investigate but I can't find the problem.
I have tried nearly everthing listed in the Community Troubleshooting Guide and several other tests/scans/changes. I skipped some portions of the anti cheat guide. I can sometimes run the game borderless but this makes no difference as the crashes happen almost immediately. Aside from that, running the anti-cheat at low priority and restarting the process when it crashes improved stability to the point where I was able to begin the login process once, but the same crash occured before I could finish entering my information.
This is a link to the 3DMark test I ran at the suggestion of someone in this thread. They talk about an error that appeared in my DxDiag I have logs from the tests and HWinfo monitoring logs from those tests as well but I can't upload them as attachments here.
Can anyone help me out? ☹️
EDIT: Currently going through EA live chats, 3 agents in. First one suggested clean booting, reinstalling with origin, and reinstalling VC++ runtimes. Still not working. 2nd agent suggested running with a dedicated graphics processor. That's literally not even a supported feature anymore but I found a way to do it with a new method and same thing, still no luck. 3rd agent is talking to me now.
EDIT 2: The third agent was utterly useless. After suggesting a few things to try and trying them to no avail, she recommended me to Steam Support for whatever reason. At this point I'm launching the game through origin because they have recommended me to reinstall it through Origin Client. I explain that I already asked steam support and they told me to go to EA because the issue is with the GAME and not STEAM. At this point she notices the DXDIAG i had attached for the first agent, "discusses" it with someone else on her end, and comes back with the suggesting to reinstall my GPU drivers because they are out of date and to disable any overclocks I've applied to the hardware. Again, I had already tried this, but figured just saying that would get me nowhere, reinstalled GPU drivers and reset BIOS to factory defaults as well as made sure to disable any (already disabled) overclocks on my GPU. The issue was the same and after explaining this she gave me the attached reply and closed the chat before I had a chance to say anything else. In fact she asked if there was "anything else she could assist me with", and 10 seconds into typing my response she closed the chat. The chat logs from ALL THREE agents now appear to be unavailable, though I was able to scroll through them before.
Game still doesn't work. Support has thrown in the towel. What the * do I do now lol?
