Hi, Apex Legends keeps crashing on launch after “Waiting for game”. I repaired the game files and Easy Anti-Cheat, but it still crashes. I also got “Game Security Violation Detected - 0x00002009” and the crash handler shows C0000005. I tried disabling SignalRGB, Mullvad VPN and MSI/Mystic Light services, but nothing changed. Any idea what could be causing this?
mdt91130 This error typically happens when a program that gives an unfair gameplay advantage is detected when launching or playing Apex.
You would need to close out of or uninstall any program that may give/does give an unfair gameplay advantage in order to continue playing the game, (which includes programs such as DS4 Windows).
I understand that 0x00002009 can be caused by software detected by Easy Anti-Cheat. However, I don't use DS4Windows or any similar controller/macro software. I already disabled SignalRGB, Mullvad VPN and MSI/Mystic Light services, but Apex still crashes with C0000005. How can I identify which program is being detected by EAC?
mdt91130 You could try turning a program off one by one and seeing when the game would launch, (though some players had said before that the game wouldn't launch for them until the program(s) was fully removed).
