1080TI FE Fix that solved the issue 100 % for me at least , thought to share it as it might help others :
Lets start off with the fact that i tried every single fix there is on the web, Reddit , EA forums , YouTube , gaming sites , every fix that been posted regardless of what dose it deal with , drivers , registry , windows updates , anti virus , full screen / windowed , origin in game , etc etc. No thing worked.
After taking a closer look at my GPU while playing the game , i noticed the back to desktop crash happens when ever the card tries to reach its peak voltage , around 1.093V , regardless the fact that i am not overclocking neither my CPU nor the GPU , but for some reason Apex Legends engine did not like it when my card supplied voltage gose any where above 1.0V. Keep on mind the 1080TI FE boost 3 technology automatically boosts the Core and memory clocks while increasing the consumed voltage up to 1.093V under heavy load, its the stock settings from Nvida.
Using MSI After burner along with GPU-Z to monitor my GPU voltage while Under clocking it, i lowered the allowed power limit along with the Core and memory clocks to make sure the card never gose above 1.00 V under full load. My personal settings that achieved this result are : Core Clock = -50 , Memory Clock = -100 , Power Limit = 50 %.
5 days already without a single crash once so ever running the latest Nvidia driver 418.91.
This might or might not work for every one , but give it a try.

Hey, Chris from Overwolf here!
I'd like to point out that many of us (at Overwolf) are Apex fanatics, we play before work, during work and after work, more than everything - we make sure Overwolf doesn't interfere. We actually plan on adding more cool features to give Apex Legends players an even better experience while using Overwolf 🙂

- Same here. Running the lowest settings with v-sync off, on windowed mode. For me it seems pretty consistent though, closing around the 20 minute mark
AMD A12-9800 processor
AMD Raedon R7 graphics
8gb ram I figured it out! I used to play this game fine, and it seemed that out of nowhere it would freeze and crash. I've tried everything, origin overlay/cloud saves, reducing and improving graphics, temp files, run as administrator, compatibilty mode, repair apex, uninstall or reinstall, overclock and default settings, you name it, I've tried it!
But what finally worked, was capping my fps at 85. Anytime it went over 95ish, I crashed. This makes sense too, because I started off playing at max graphics, so I could never reach high fps. I started crashing EVERY SINGLE GAME only after I reduced my graphics, but I didn't notice that was why until now. It has something to do with the game bugging at high fps on certain PC's, idk why exactly tho.
To cap your fps (since Apex has no in-game setting), go to Origin > Go to My Game Library > Right click Apex > Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options > And type in this: +fps_max 85
This will cap your fps at 85, you can change this number, but if you go too high, you will start to crash again. I really hope this helps all of you, it helped me fix my problem 100%.
If you have any questions or concerns, just mention me or message me. I have more than just that one command set, but that's the command that fixed everything. If it doesn't work, contact me and I'll try my best to copy all of my settings to yours to resolve the issue. Best of luck to all of you.
