Well, this is clearly an issue on Respawn's side. There is no single fix nor set of fixes that have been proven to work, and we're not even sure that Respawn and EA are on board with us and trying to figure out the absurd amount of memory errors that all Windows 7 players get.
I'm not sure about anyone elses' reasons for using Windows 7, but mine are deliberate. Windows 10 is intrusive and performs terribly in 99% of my games, and also gives me endless issues while working with desktop applications. Windows 7 simply doesn't have any of those issues, but doesn't work with Apex despite it being supported in the system requirement
Since I've tried just about every single fix posted on the forums (as documented in my post a couple pages back), I gave up and installed Windows 10 via dual boot, so I can still keep Windows 7.
This is not that inconvenient, so I do recommend it if you don't mind the trouble and a windows 10 key. Note that you don't have to have a windows 10 key if you've had it installed before (like me, who purposefully changed to Windows 7). If that's case, you select "register later" during W10 installation. Don't upgrade, it'll overwrite Windows 7. Afaik you need to use the bootable USB drive method, since then it lets you decide the partition on which Windows 10 will be installed - so a different one than your W7 partition.
Not sure if this is mobo dependent, but when I restart my PC, it gives me a screen that lets me click on Windows 7 or Windows 10 buttons, and it boots to that OS. On windows 10 I only have my NET frameworks, C++ redistributables, Nvidia drivers, Origin, Discord, and Apex. Have not crashed a single time.
I know it's depressing that we're all dealing with an issue that has no workarounds until the Devs pick up on it, and we're not sure if they're even looking into it. This is the best solution I can offer, but I know it's not ideal âšī¸ I can personally guarantee you that none of the fixes posted on the forums will solve the issue, I've been through everything in perfect testing conditions - they don't. So if you realistically want to play, I seriously recommend this.
