"Apex Legends requires an EA account to play." stuck on resetting password loop.

I have been playing Apex for a good couple months; roughly half a year. I downloaded Apex through my steam account. I don't remember it ever asking me to link my origin account to apex; but, granted, my memory is hazy and could be off. Regardless, I've had no issues playing at all until now. I'm stuck on a screen that says "Apex Legends requires an EA account to play. Click here to log in or create an account." The play button on the Apex launcher is replaced with a button that says, "register." When I click on the button, it opens a pop up that gives me 2 options, reset my password or register a new account. I have now reset my password three times. But after I reset my password, it just stays on the reset password screen. There is no prompt to follow afterwards nor an option to just log in. I am perpetually stuck resetting my password over and over again. Now, though my stats are not impressive, I am trying not to lose my acheivements/stats/cosmetics/etc. I would be super bummed and probably drop the game. I have Origin installed and am logged into it. I even tried opening Apex through the EA website which takes you to the Steam website which takes you to the Steam launcher, several times. I've been stuck on this for nearly an hour and it really sucks. I wanted to introduce a few of my friends to Apex this summer since I've really enjoyed the game. But, especially if I lose my stuff/can't play the game in the first place, it looks like that won't be happening.
