Connection to server timed out (code:leaf)

Hello.

I always had this connection problem "code leaf". I've been able to play Apex with a VPN program but right now I can't use it anymore because I don't wanna pay for it.

When I start the game up, I can queue and play an entire game but as soon as I leave it, I get the error that you can see on the screenshot I posted. Basicly if I want to play another match after this error, I have to restart my game everytime.

It's getting really frustrating since I've googled the issue but I can't find anything that works for me. I've tried to change my preferred DNS, enter 8.8.8.8 and in alternative type in 8.8.4.4 and lastly, find "Internet Protocol Version 4" and in preferred type 2001:4860:4860::8888, while entering in 2001:4860:4860::8844 in the alternative. Noone of this worked.

Some other info:

- Playing on PC

- Using Steam

Is there anything I can do or any fix?

    Hey @onlytestinha

If you don't run into this same issue while you're using a VPN it sounds like there might be an issue at one of the datacenters your connection is being routed through normally. When you have the chance would you mind running a UO Trace? That may help us see if there is an issue on one of these hops.

For more information on how to run the test check out the EA Help website. Once you have the results of the test please send them to me in a direct message. Thank you!
