Contoller not working in game

This is not my problem btw, it's a problem for a friend of mine. He has a scuf controller, and anytime he tries to use it in apex it just doesn't work... the strangest thing is that it works on all the other games on his pc and not on apex... 

This "bug" was already a problem in the 2nd split of ssn 24 and now it's still not resolved, this makes me personally think it's a problem with either his hardware or the ea app.
