Crashing upon logging in

For some context I haven't played Apex Legends since season 24 for a couple games.

Upon coming back for this season every time I open the game and click register the game freezes white for a few seconds then windows pops up saying the application is not responding. Tabbing out of the game unfreezes it but as soon as I tab back in it freezes again.

I cannot find anyone with these same issues online.
