Cross Plat Lobby Game Chat Not Working

I haven’t been able to talk in voice char for over three months now. I can hear teammates, but every once in a while I encounter players who cannot talk either (I know this because they always end up inviting me to party to talk bc the game voice chat doesn’t work) 

What can I do? I have power cycled my xbox, restarted it, uninstalled apex twice, and I reset my settings every once in a while in hopes for it to fix and yet, nothing. 

I already went through a lot of threads and no one seems to find an explanation as to why this is happening to a lot of players.

What happens when the bug occurs? It has been since update that my game chat is not working at all.
What should be happening instead? I should have gamechat
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I stream. I can show you. I don't even get a mic icon by my name and it appears I'm in a part even though I'm not.

Game chat won't work at all for me since update. Shows I'm in a party even if I'm not. I've reinstalled, reset my xbox, changed headset to stereo sound, tried a different controller and headset all together. Works on other games and in party chat. But not apex.

How severe is your issue? Minor impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? Me and my Xbox friend sound quiet when talking in game chat.
What should be happening instead? We should sound fine like our PS4 friends do but we don’t, we sound quiet.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Talk in game chat. Specifically with Xbox players because it’s happening to me and my friend and we’re on Xbox.

Me and my friend, who also plays on Xbox, sounds quiet when talking in game chat but my PS4 friends sound just fine and they say also say that we sound quiet.  This happens in the lobby and in a match and it’s not only when we’re playing PS4 players but also when the two of us with the problem are together in game chat.  I’ve only experienced this since the new crossplay update because we’ve never needed to use game chat.

Can’t hear friends it sucks

I am having the same issue, I play in PC. I can hear my friends from PS4 but they cannot hear me. Please community Manager help us!

This also happens to me. i'm on PC and my friends on PS4. I can hear them but they cannot hear me and its very frustrating. We havent played a game together for about 5 years and even though we can play, we can't talk to each other on lobby or in match ☹️

So, with crossplay being out, I got to play with two friends who are on their PS4, I am on Xbox One and was facing a problem with voice chat. 
Usually, chat wasn’t a problem because I stuck around in Xbox‘s party chat, but with crossplay not supporting that, I turned to in-game Chat. 
When we all joined squad, I was faced with the issue that I couldn’t hear them, nor could they hear me. I tried to play around with the "Disable voice chat" setting, but that didn’t change anything. The two them were able to talk with each other, and I could see their mic-symbols becoming active oftenly, so the game did register they were talking, though I couldn’t hear them. 
Any idea how to fix this?

The volume of the voice chat should be adjustable. The volume is too low for some players and too high for others. There is no way to manage the volume and sometimes it is impossible to hear your partner.
