Cross Progression unlink

So I recently got back into Apex and I heard that cross progression was finally added which I was looking forward to. I signed into my ea account for Xbox since that’s where I have all my stuff and when I tried to link my PlayStation account since that’s where I play now it didn’t let me. I then signed into my PlayStation account then unliked my Xbox account and linked it into the PlayStation EA account. However I saw online that doing this can cause you to lose progress and corrupt your game, I had no knowledge of this and sadly saw it too late. When I logged in to see if I had gotten my stuff I did notice it took longer than usual to load in as well as seeing the game menu glitch out but I also noticed I got none of my stuff transferred over from Xbox to PlayStation. I wonder if by any chance I could get help with this and get my stuff back id really appreciate it thank you.

  • Hey @IvanTheStick,

As you had mentioned finding, unlinking your account will typically cause your Apex progress to be lost. This warning also pops up when you go through the process to unlink an account.

This is because your progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like your PSN or Xbox accounts.

If you unlinked your Xbox account and linked that to the EA account with your PlayStation progress, you'd be able to access that PlayStation progress on both Xbox and PlayStation, but none of the Xbox progress would transfer over - that's still on the original EA account itself.

If you're wanting to try recovering that progress you will need to re-link the Xbox account to its original EA account. If you have trouble with this, please contact support.

Unfortunately that means if you have progress on two separate EA accounts, there is not a way to merge or combine that progress.
