EA CAN'T SPEAK TO AGENT OR GET SUPPORT HELP WITH ACCOUNT LINKING

Hello, I am trying to link my EA account (for Apex Legends) to my current PlayStation Network (PSN) account, but I'm running into an issue.

Years ago, before cross-progression was available, I had linked my EA account to a different PSN account. I no longer have access to that old PSN and have already removed it from my EA account. However, when I try to link my new PSN, I get this

"Linked account found. Cannot be linked because this EA account was used to link the account 'case_the_bag'."

It seems like the old PSN is still associated on the back end, and I can’t proceed. I understand there's a one-time link policy, but I no longer have access to the old PSN and would really appreciate help unlinking it or resolving the conflict so I can link my current PSN.

To make things worse, I can't even report my problem properly. Every time I try to file a support case, I just get an error saying "Contact EA Help cannot help with that" followed by another error. I can't reach a live agent or get proper support through any of the normal channels.

Please help me escalate this issue or connect me with someone who can actually resolve account linking problems. Thank you.

Hey there, I checked the screenshot you've shared, and it states that your account was previously linked to a PSN ID, and that's why you can't link your EA account to a new PSN ID. When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games. You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime. That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future. Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to a new one, you can’t unlink it again for six months. You can find more information here

Hi, I already unlinked my old PSN ID from my EA account. Now I’m trying to link a new PSN ID, but it won’t let me  because my EA account previously had a PSN linked, and your system doesn’t allow a different PSN ID to be linked afterward.

Can you please confirm if there’s any way to link my new PSN ID to this account, or do I need to create a brand new EA account to do this?

and you guys also said Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to a new one, you can’t unlink it again for six months. Thanks.

I want to play Apex Legends on my new PS5, but I also want to keep all my Apex progress from Xbox, which is tied to my current EA account.

The problem is that I can’t link my PSN account to this EA account because it says it was already linked to another PSN ID back in 2019 — a PSN I no longer have access to.

I don’t care about that old PSN account. I just want my Xbox Apex progress to work on my PS5.

Is there any way you can help me link my current PSN ID to the EA account that has my Xbox progress? Or transfer my Apex progress from Xbox to a new EA account that I can link to my PSN?

Please help — I just want to use my Xbox Apex account on PS5.

In this case, the only way to link your current PSN ID to the EA account that holds your Xbox progress is by first regaining access to the old PSN ID that’s already linked to that EA account. The system only allows one PSN ID per EA account, and it has to be the original one. If you need help to regain access to your old PSN ID, I suggest that you contact PSN Support, as they should be able to assist you with that.
